This has been slow in breaking, but we've known this would happen for at least a month. Insiders reported that the girl was seen at a fraternity party later that night and wasn't distraught in the least.
She'd hooked up with Sanchez, but didn't bang him, then told her mother about it. Mom called the cops. His roommates were home at the time, and confirmed there was no struggle or anything like that. She left the place perfectly-happy.
The underage drinking thing is a problem. This kid is a figurehead for the program and needs to conduct himself with an abundance of caution. I wasn't there, so I don't know if the hookup with this girl was typical college stuff or something else. If the kid was being wreckless, he should have been more careful. But hell, how many times have you guys been in a situation like this, where it could have gone the other way?
Both Sanchez and girl will have to live with this for the rest of their lives. No going back after any kind of sexual assault discussion.
Mark better acquire the appropriate level of paranoia from this point forward. People will jump on him for an untied shoelace from here on out.

I never thought much of that case.
I'm interested, howeer, in seeing what comes of the Reggie Bush housing stuff with his parents though. I know they said it would be a 9 month to a year investigation, but I would have expected some kind of on going story with it.

I heard rumors the fucking FBI was investigating. If that's the case, USC folks need not worry about an NCAA violation.IndyFrisco wrote:I never thought much of that case.
