Well, not sure if you noticed the SEC is well......the SEC. Your ACC and Big East repectively couldn't hold a candle to the SEC back then.
Your first SEC championship was 1991...well not counting that one that yall had to forfeit in 1984 for being stand up citizens. So yall were known as a bottom dweller of the SEC before FSU and UM came on the scene. I am so jealous.

No. FSU has never been on probation. The gates have on football and also once had its whole athletic dept put on probation. Now how many schools can claim that feat?

First off, you only listed 6 years. Convenient that you left out FSU's 10-2 1980 season.

The Gayters just have a hard time realizing that on the national scene, they are 3rd out of the FL teams. Maybe its b/c people didnt like Spurrier(I do BTW), but I think people fear Miami and FSU a little more and give us props for playing in countless National Championships over the past 25 years, while UF has only managed to play in two.

2. I REALLY can’t stand Miami.
3. I don’t like FSU.
4. I’m indifferent about Florida.
5. In my opinion, it is Miami and FSU…Florida is a distant third.

That was 1987. Sorry, but he made it sound like FSU was dominating all through the 80's. It wasn't true and I brought their record to the table. Why is this so hard for you to understand?

Thanks, and fuck you too. Since we are talking the relevancy of all three schools.....they didn't win an ACC title till 1992. In the grand scheme of things(it was a shitty conference as well) it was a year after UF did. I would say that SIX SEC titles in the 90's is pretty dominating. Minus one decent year in 1980, FSU didn't start their run until 1987. Spurrier came to UF in 1990. Wow.....three whole years? Are you fucking kidding me? At least I can agree Miami's five titles in 22 years is easily the best of teh three. FSU, right now, overall, is behind UF.

I guess if UF won the SEC in their first year in the league, then you can compare apples to apples. As usual, you can continue to compare everyones elses apples to your oranges.

FSU and Miami both put on dominat runs that UF cannot match. UF is Duke Snyder compared to Miami and FSU's Mantle and Mayes.

Oh, and he didn't make it sound like anything other than what he said. If you read different, it was because you used your jump to conclusions board to figure out what he was saying. Which was that FSU started to dominate in the 80's.

In the late 70s into 80s Trix, FSU played anywhere anytime all over the country. FSU and Miami put the state of florida on the map of college football. The gates only got on the news when Bama would spank them or they were getting in trouble with the NCAA

The gates have had a SEC title stripped from them in 1984, have been put on NCAA probation a couple of times, and has even had the whole athletic department put on probation by the NCAA. Now trix, who gets in trouble more?

Wow.

This is good stuff. A USC fan, an aTm fan, and a ND fan all disagreeing with TREX about UF. I think we've nearly covered all corners of the country. Any Syracuse fans, or perhaps Maine fans wanna jump in to confirm UF being thought of as 3rd nationally on the CFB scene?? I think that would cover it.
