Venom, Hobgoblin & Sandman?

Could be good...could be a mess (like X3).

There was a blurb in the Sunday paper about Iron Man supposedly being slated for a 2008 release. Could also be cool.

I liked X3. It wasn't as good as the first two, but still solid and entertaining.

I always found Ironman to be a bit boring. There's one that I wouldn't mind seeing them skip.

Would be interesting to see if they'd do a Legion of Doom vs. Hall of Justice movie though.

They need to do Betty Boop. Have Scarlett Johannson dye her hair black. And shave her cooter.

I enjoyed it myself, but a large part of that was seeing characters I recognized from my childhood hobby brought to life. Basically, if you saw the first X-men movies (esp. #2) and/or were familiar with the major and minor characters due to the comics, it was enjoyable. On the other hand, if you weren't a big comic book freak as a kid, you had no idea who most of the characters introduced in X3 were or what the hell the whole Dark Phoenix thing was really about. My wife couldn't believe that Cyclops was in about 15 minutes of the film, had no idea who Kitty Pryde or the Beast were, and couldn't follow the umpteen minor characters.

As far as Iron Man, it has potential, especially if they play up Stark's alcoholism.

Want lame characters? How 'bout Machine Man (God, I hated Kirby's artwork), Luke Cage, Yellowjacket, Sub-Mariner, Moon Knight...

Yeah, as a kid I collected a lot of those things when they were 25 cents. Now they're a couple of bucks each and each major title seemingly has three or more spin-off titles you have to collect in order to follow a plotline. And the plots are frigging twisted and dark. Too expensive and grown-up for me to encourage my 7-year-old son to get into...
