I believe our coaches will send their support and sympathies.

Makes you wonder how this will affect Coach Dunbar as Randy Walker was his former boss of 5 years.

Our best to you wildcats of Northwestern!

RIP

Geez, 52 is not very old, almost thirty years younger than my dad is. I feel for his family.

Not to be morbid or pervert what has happened but along with being grief-stricken Dunbar has to think"damn I'd be head-coach now at NW if I'd stayed". He would be the obvious choice given NW's offensive success and it being REALLY late to start a coaching-search. Hell he might still get the job considering NW's DC is pretty mediocre and their new OC would be making a major step-up, position-coach-to-HC in one year.

Rack you guys... that have a love for the sport(college football).

It's good to see you show it in your posts.

Walker was a great coach

To have to compete against Michigan, Ohio State and others was a monumental task. His guys would never give up, evidenced by miracle come backs v. Michgan and Minnesota in the past. Barnett started it but Walker made Northwestern a legitimate program, after being such a joke for all these years - on par with Columbia.

You guys will always have my respect.

That's very young. Too bad that it seemed like he was on the way to recovery, then this happens.

My dad died at the same age, but we were lucky enough to have time leading up to that. What a sucker punch to his family, players, & the CFB world. He was a damn good coach, and that program will not be the same without him.

I didn't hear this initially, as I was on vacation last week. Sad to hear. RIP.
