It is believed that the aim was to detonate explosive devices smuggled on board the aircraft in hand luggage. It is believed that the attacks would have been particularly targeted at flights from the UK to the USA," the statement said.
I thought of this before... Soon, you will have to strip NAKED before going on a flight. Your luggage will have to be sent days before you fly or you will receive it days after you get there.
They will give you something like Hospital Johnnies to wear on flight..
It will look Kind of like this minus the IV and IV pole..

Unfortunately that plane could still be used as a missle to take out innocent people.Sudden Sam wrote:There's no telling how many plots have been foiled in the last few years.
I've come to the conclusion that no Muslims should be allowed to fly....except on airplanes exclusively occupied by Muslims. Pilots, stewardesses...er...flight attendants...and passengers must all be Muslims. Then they can take their trip to nirvana together.

The White House should do that instead of writing everyone & their mother flying in their air space off as accidents. One of these days someone flying their plane towards the capitol won't be "just a lost pilot."titlover wrote:if that fucker goes even a foot off course, throw a few missiles at it. :twisted:Diego in Seattle wrote:Unfortunately that plane could still be used as a missle to take out innocent people.Sudden Sam wrote:There's no telling how many plots have been foiled in the last few years.

I'm sick of this bullshit. When I left Heathrow two weeks ago they boarded us on a 777 we sat on the tarmac for what seemed like eternity, then they herded us off the plane and into a waiting area for what seemed like an additional eternity and then boarded us on to another 777 with no explanation whatsoever.
They escorted 300+ passengers, 4 at a time to the subsequent airplane.
My wife is scheduled to join me here in Texas next week, we are going to live on my little 100 acres inbetween Houston and Austin, operate a bed and breakfast and I will never sniff another rig or airport if I can help it.
Please pray that nobody vaporizes my Angel on her way over here.
My personal and sincere thanks.

I know this because the brilliant folks at Democratic Underground told me so.
Thankfully velo, with a grant from Texaco, is here to set us straight. We should be scared, cower and think that this shit should interrupt our daily lives. Our security is so damned important that we should let the government do whatever the fuck it wants. If we don't let the governmnet march in our streets, then we might lose ten people to the terrorists. Can't have that.

So, blaming the US for killing innocents in Irag and Afganistan is OK but looking the other way if terrorists kill innocents in this country??? Color me shocked.

I did like this quote from Reid.
"It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change."
Of course the argument could be made, one needs to be strong and intelligent in order to survive long enough TO respond to change, but I digress.
Yep. Personally I don't think these draconian measures of "fighting terrorism" are initially meant to "keep the people down", however, they will be. The advantage we might or might not have in Western governments is that we can vote which boots we prefer to have on our necks. Conservative boots or liberal boots.
Rest assured, boots will be on our necks.
Ain't it cool ?

Don't you get it? We are at war!!! When we invaded Iraq, we did it because America is the most awesomest nation ever. Those of you who question our motives in Iraq have forgotten this fact. The following are more reasons we were right to invade Iraq:Tom In VA wrote:Ain't it cool ?

The point is these draconian measures did not start after 9-11. It's been a constant evolution of well intended policies that CAN be turned into something bad.

Their thread on this topic was monolithic enough, and their POV is summed up in my first post in this thread.
BTW-
And it took a mere 5 posts. Not spam, not over the top pics, nothing but disagreement.
I'm not one of the "banned therefore BODE" posters.
But I do get a sense of satisfaction from this turn of events. And I'm really glad I offended those dip fucks because they need to be offended.
