did the player come down on his heel or did he come down on the ball of his foot and then settle back on to his heel?

That's what I was thinking.

That pic isn't proof that he didn't touch down with his toes first, and then placed the heel down, with the whole foot flat.

Either way, probably a reviewable play.

Ah yes, the out of bounds no-call vs. Nebraska. Easily the worst ref fuck up of all time.

If the ref had 2 eyes he may have called it out of bounds.

Well, you see... NitFan agrees and readily admits that the McCloskey catch vs. NU actually wasn't a catch. (McCloskey, right?).

Nope. That would be Mizzou/Colorado ... circa 1990.

I wouldn't call a mental blunder worse than a blatant no-call.

Wow.

1. Not sure what the 68 refers to. The year befor Bo? We were not good. I think OSU was considered a great team at that time. Until 24-12 the following Nov.

2. Why would I play the 97 card (even though we all know the coaches gifted Ozzie with a .25 NC)

3. Last I checked the scores counted from the leather helmet days. Do you mean to tell me that when 95 NU is a distant memory none of those 10 win seasons should count?

Substitute '48 for '68 (last time bitchigan won a title outright)

"Gifted" Ozzie? and why only a 1/4? Funny how Vegas oddsmakers had NU a substantial favorite had they met up that year. Oh, and nice win over garbage WSU with a zebra-job to garner your half. 84 BYU much? (dodging a real bullet) irony: Bitchigan sucked a hind tit in 84 to give garbage BYU the title

Leather helmet wins still count and yes....Yale fucking OWNS Bitchigan in the national title department by that rationale. Proves that Yale is money in title games vs. lowly Bitchigan.

10 years vs. 60 ???? hmmmm nice reach. So I guess we'll have to go back a hunnerd and 2 and let that prove how much better Yales program is.

Hey fuck you! I'm running smack cause cfb is here!!!!

Yeah, about that zebra job. I don't like Michigan and they almost got totally fucked because the WSU WR pushed Woodson in the back allowing him to catch the ball to put them in that position.

And the worse non-call ever for ND was against UofM in '86. Joel Howard (I think that's who it was) comes down in the back of the endzone with his foot clearly in bounds and the ref's whistled him out. ND lost by less than a FG.

Nebraska's insecurities are so strong these days.

They beat Michigan in their best season in 5 years while Michigan had its worse season in almost 50.

All things being equal, I'll take Big Blue.

Uhhhh...no. Doug Moseley(Sec ref) called Lane Fenners winning TD catch out of bounds is the worst fuck up of all time.

Even if he bobbles the damn thing it is still in bounds but he caught it. Everyone saw it.

Fuck the gates, doug moseley and the cheating sec.

Best season in 5 years? Probably. Too bad we don't get that media bias Michigan gets year after year. With Taylor coming back, a good group of receivers, and a stable of RB's second to none we could go ahead and pick up our MNC without ever playing a down...if we had one of those ugly striped-assed turtle helmets and a blue jersey.

You go ahead and take big blue and keep in mind you can't duck the competition in the Rose bowl anymore. Now go bite on a rose stem and lovingly stroke your leather helmet 1,948 times and think about the days of yore....that'll never return.

The future is bright in Husker land....unlike the per usual "let's beat Ohio State and get a garbage team in the Tidy Bowl so we can keep paddin that tattered scoresheet" in Bitchigan land.

Damn this feels good!!! 96 hours til kickoff!!!!

Yep, totally agree...PSU had more than enough chances to win that game, but couldn't cash them in. That was a bad call...but every game has its share of them. Rarely are they so well depicted on tape, though!

I agree with you, Ken. PSU fans need to be careful with bad call smack - McCloskey's catch in the Nebraska game was one of the worst calls ever.
