Nebraska vs. usc

well, this game has the potential to be a GREAT ONE.
from my vantage point, after seeing one-dimensional texas get waxed by mediocre ohio st.
the big 12 is ours for the taking, easily, nebraska is the most balanced team in the big 12.
zac taylor should be good for, at the very least, 350 yds and a trio of td's, and, our ground game should easily go for 175 to 250 yds, that being said, I see us sacking booty at least 6 times, with a couple of picks to boot,

Btw, yeah, I'm pretty sure there that hosting those college football behemoths La Tech and Nicholls State for a couple of home field scrimmages really prepared Nebraska to roll into the Coliseum to take on the team with the nation's longest current regular season and home field winning streaks...

This is going to be an absolute slaughter, errr, USC slurpfest from Brent. And if Nebraska is within 30, get ready for Cuntsburger's attempt at some sort of "prophetic" call ala, "Folks, despite being down here, I'm tempted to think Nebraska might be on to something." Brad, the last time we met up with a Big XII team:

-We met a Big XII team that was light years better than your current Nebraska team, on both sides of the ball

-We met a Big XII team that wasn't coached by Bill Callahan

-We met a Big XII team led by Vince Young, not Zach Taylor

-We played with a patchwork D which was seriously depleted by injuries

-We played at a neutral field site, not our own home field filled with our own fans, where we haven't lost since forever

-We still rang up over 500 yards and 38 points and we still managed to hold a 12 point lead with just six minutes left in the game; this, despite countless unusual and downright inexplicable blunders which kept us from finishing off what was shaping up to be a comfortable win.

Btw, no, it wouldn't matter which conference Nebraska played in because whether it was the Pac 10 or the Big XII Nebraska's been utter dogshit for awhile now. It's hard to build winning streaks when you give up 70 points to teams that aren't even any good.

So, sig bet or not?

After seeing the scores from ND, Louisville, LSU and Auburn this weekend I think it's safe to say that yeah, if Petey gets up on Nebraska he's not going to take his foot off the pedal until the total is something laughable.

I'll need to see it first though, since I'm still a LONG way from being sold on USC right now. With this many new people playing key roles for USC I could easily see them taking many a step backwards for every step or two they take forward.

Nebraska is turning the corner but they nearly aren't at USC's level yet...should be a two or three TD win for the Trojans, at least. The transition from Leinart to Booty looks to be as seemless as the Palmer to Leinart transition. Too much talent on the SC side...they'll take care of business in primetime next week.

Brad, for probably the only time in your posting life I will agree with you in this instance. Right now, yeah, USC is overrated. They shouldn't have their current #2 ranking, or even their former #3 ranking, not yet.

Last few seasons though, nope, they weren't overrated.

If it were up to me the current rankings would read:

1-OSU
2-Auburn
3-LSU
4-ND

USC would be somewhere around 10th and Texas would be right around the same spot too now.

W. Virginia and Louisville would still be behind Texas and USC.

FSU would be somewhere down in the high teens, low twenties.

Nebraska would be right around the same. No way to judge Nebraska yet, except off of what they showed last season, not when they still haven't played this season.
