I should have added....
I'm quite sure that several coaches throughout the land are unaware of whom they vote for.
But...If you're going to come out pimping yourself for voting so and so #1, you might want to be sure that you did just that.

Point of clarification: West Virginia doesn't play BC this year. However, Rutgers is much improved (seriously) and could possibly challenge them as well.PSUFAN wrote:WVU has to get through their season undefeated. People are just assuming this will happen...but it's going to be tough. I think Louisville, Pitt, BC, and even Maryland can offer them real challenges.

I'm pretty sure Mack has never filled out a single ballot since he came to Texas. I like the coaches poll but they have less time to watch games then we do as fans. Outside of their conference I doubt they have any idea who is better than who.WolverineSteve wrote:I should have added....

Way to reach for the stars there, champ. Hopefully controlled scrimmages like that did a decent job of preparing you to travel to the Coliseum...
:chuckle:
I said, take a look at who michigan and penn st. just played, akron? did you see what kind of pathetic stats that penn st. was able to muster against akron?
point being, nebraska played a tougher opponent, and, humiliated them,
this is why I asked, why are penn st. and michigan ranked so much higher than nebraska?
when, penn st. looked like crap against a weak opponent, while nebraska looked terrific against a better opponent,
I guess you cant follow that kind of logic, so, you bring up usc?
ya dumb fuck,
Brad, you're assuming I don't also excoriate Penn State, Michigan or any and all other major programs for scheduling home game cupcake scrimmages.
You being you, of course you assume incorrectly. I've been nothing if not consistent in my ripping of this entire home game cupcake scheduling pandemic.

Utter foolishness.penn st. looked like crap against a weak opponent, while nebraska looked terrific against a better opponent,
The Corn looked very rusty initially against LaTech. Akron would blast LaTech into smithereens.
Stop crying about a #21 ranking. The Corn will move up should they deserve it...as will PSU or UM.

With each game, this take becomes even more shortsighted.Ken wrote:I think this is a shortsighted take.WolverineSteve wrote:Is it too soon for voters to punish WVU for their pussified schedule? I say no. They need to be voted much lower so they don't ruin my January. I seriously think they would lose to the next 10 teams ranked behind them.
Hey, I was with you even up until the Sugar Bowl. I had my doubts about WVU. I thought UGA would finally expose 'em. Funny how that turned out. I'm a firm believer in WVU now. WVU is getting no respect simply because they play in a weak conference. How does that work again? You mean, WVU (or Pitt, Louisville, etc for that matter) can NEVER field a good team because their conference sucks? I don't see that logic and whomever tries to float it is not very smart.
WVU is damned good.
