UCLA at Washington

Post by BuddyFramm »

This is a big game for the Huskies. UCLA appears to be pretty solid and UW has obviously improved. A win in our first conference game of the season would be huge. I really think the Huskies can win 5-7 games this year which would be a big improvement over our 3 wins in the last 2 years. I know most of you guys think we suck but we've won two games this year that we would have lost the last two years. I think Washington beats UCLA because of Isaiah Stanback. His ability to run the football and not turn it over through the air has been a big factor so far this year and his speed can cause defenses problems. Any Bruin fans on here to have some fun with????

Also, can I get SOMEBODY to admit that Willingham is doing a good job in rebuilding this program? Most of you guys think he is a tard and one of the worst coaches in the country. I'm not saying he's a great coach but the Huskies are FAR better than they were before he got here. There is a night and day difference between the 2006 Huskies and the 2004 Huskies. Yes, he sucked at ND but he certainly hasn't sucked at UW so far.

Thanks, BtH. Man, you guys got jammed on Saturday. Sucks to lose like that but EVEN I have to give the Ducks credit for hanging tough and finding a way to win that game. Good luck the rest of the way and yes, it does feel good to be 2-1. I never thought I'd say that as a Husky fan but thats how bad things have gotten. I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel though.

Honest question, because I haven't looked, but how is Chauncey doing at recruiting offensive lineman? Because at ND it was 2, 2 (who are no longer at ND) and 2. In three years, he barely had enough to have a starting five.

He may be doing better than Gilbride, but he won't get you where you need or want to be.

I could see Stanback giving ucLabia fits. Should be a fun game to watch.

Seer,
How do you see the game turning out? I didn't think the Huskies could hang with the Bruins last year but they gave them a great game. Thats the kind of game I think we'll start winning this year. This is a huge game for the Huskies. With Arizona on the horizon, a win over UCLA would give the Huskies a great chance to start the season 4-1.

It should be a great game...if a tsunami comes and selectively takes out the Fuskies and all of their "fans."

No, but seriously..."the wave" looks good on you. No, really.

Unlike the Ducks, we'll win without any help from the officiating crew. We'll get a nice pile of Husky shit ready for you guys to step in when we come see you later this year. Those new unis of yours would actually look better with some dog shit on them.

I am NOT a Karl Dorrell fan. I have no idea how they will perform. Practically no seniors starting, 1st away game of the season (in Seattle no less), you got a QB with wheels, we got a freshman QB (albeit 23 yrs old), our D is looking good (), you beat a decent Fresno St team.....

I predict a tough game.

UCLA - 34

UDub - 17

I predict a tougher game.....

Washington 24
UCLA 20

Could easily turn out the way you see it but this year's team is much better than the last two years and they are definitely mentally tougher and more confident. If it was a road game I'd predict a loss but I think this is a winnable game at home.

I see that Buddy the Lee Jeans doll and I have a sig bet in the coming weeks.

And unlike the OU game, I'm not terribly worried about this one.

I'd say as far as winning in-conference games goes, Udub would be more your speed...but you are UDub...nevermind.

But hey -- good luck against Stanford or something.

You got it Duckie. Maybe you'll have settled on a uniform by then but probably not. You guys are like a high school chick who can't decide what to wear to the prom. We're like the dude wearing the standard black tux.......we know we're gonna screw somebody so it doesn't matter what we wear.

Great analogy, actually.

Doesn't matter what QQMF wears, the Fuskies are going home disappointed with a bottle of Jergins and a tubesock(with a yellow Swooshie on it, of course).

Speaking of, do you guys do "the wave" after a successful GYJO session?

Great win for the Huskies today!!! The 2004 and 2005 Huskies would have been pasted in this game being down 16-0. This year's team is different. Isaiah Stanback played well (3 TD and a 2pt conversion) and was a big factor in the win but the Huskies defense won this football game. Stanback has become a fine quarterback though and is clearly the leader of the team. This was such an important win for this team. A 3-1 start with Arizona up next. I think they shot their wad tonight in playing USC tough.

Socal???

Just.....

FUCK!!

Can't you pathetic baby blue shlubs EVER hold up your end of the bargain??? It's only September and that was a team that hadn't won a conference game since Don James was crapping himself in his Depends on the sidelines.

Plus...................

Tyrone fucking Willingham??? You guys lost to a Slushies team led by Ty Willingham!!

I even took you queefs in my "Pick 'Em" pool this week. I should just go grab a rusty icepick and then go find the nearest UCLA player and then I should haul off and stab him right in his soft little cunt.

Your guys won. Props.

Ucla will suck until we get a head coach.

End of story.
