The stuff I wytch here gets optimized for web use and my issue doesn't apply. However, I make posters for the local high school (sports etc) and now I'm not able to save any image over a resolution of 220. I keep getting a message that says, "Error- Cannot save C:blah blah as there is a program error."
I've uninstalled PS, then went back and reinstalled it to no avail. I used to be able to save at any resolution, now I'm limited to 220. I need to get to at least 300 for poster sized prints. I've tried to google it and spent time reading possible cures, but none have dealt with this issue.
Anybody here know wtf has happened?

Have you tried saving it to a drive other than C ?
Did you change your screen resolution recently?
Have you tried using the same program on another computer?
When you uninstalled it, did you clear out the registry? sometimes uninstalls don't clear registry values, and when you reinstall, they're still there.
Also, that same thing happens when a program expires, like a trial version. Are you using one of those?
Might be time to move up to a higher version.

HeadHunter came up with the solution from an old PS tech page. I think it was a glitch as I now can save high resolution files with no problem. But for that file, all I had to do was select all, copy, then paste it in a new document. Flatten it, then save as a TIFF file. Once saved, I could then save it as a jpg and then I could upload it to my NJ printing company.
