So they spent 150 million on a pleasure palace for the Saints so that you could forget all about the shit around you for a few hours?

Makes sense to me. :meds:

Wrong.

The reason they built a city below sea level, risking thousands of lives and billions of dollars was to build a sub-par football stadium.

awww--
the "fix" was on !!

I'm still wondering why Antoine (Fats)
and other like Buckwheat Zydeco were not
featured in place of spotlight grubbing Bono
and BillyJoe ??

Then they might just as well save everyone the trouble and flush what's left of that city and state down the river. Or, just wait until the next hurricane to do the job for you.

I was actually kind of wondering the same thing...

Then they even put Harry Connick Jr on the tube, and I'm sure there were planty of other notable musicians from NO in attendence, since there's quite a few people meeting that description...

Then it occurred to me -- because those musicians are from NO -- to fucking lazy to do one freaking thing to help their city. They probably just refused to play...like they refused to evacuate...like they refused to not rape women the last time the Superdome was open for business...like they refused to not shoot at rescue workers...like they refused to do....anything but cry about it to everyone else.

I feel badly for the people who actually gave a shit about the place.

I'll rack the Saints.

I certainly won't rack the NFL for its disingenuous nutsack-swinging off of tragic events like Katrina and 9/11 in order to greater market its product.

And props to Tony Kornheiser, for making Dennis Miller seem like a great football announcer.

not suprisingly you left '95 Nebraska team from
you list. of course you did, you know they are the greatest thing
ever in the history of mankind

Sure, those teams they could beat, but not Cal. Have you seen Lynch's average yards per carry?

The Saints are only one playoff loss away from a Super Bowl Championship.

What does "NO" stand for, anyway? Once we clear that up, I can then share my expert opinion....on whatever this "NO" thing is.

Anybody hear Joe Theisman say this (after the ref picked up a penalty flag):

"I wanna know why he pulled it out of his pants."

[other guys start laughing]

"The flag, that is."

Nobody could make Miller look good. Kornie sucks, but his suckitude does nothing to elevate Miller.

I think Lafayette, Lake Charles, Baton Rouge, Alexandria, Monroe, and Shreveport would probably be better off without New Orleans draining the State treasury.

Wow, that is amazing, just amazing. So you are saying if the Saint's owener takes his team to Oklahoma, Las Vegas or any other city NO, will fall apart. Amazing how one "business" that runs for 8 Sundays each fall has this much clout.
Dinsdale wrote:And props to Tony Kornheiser, for making Dennis Miller seem like a great football announcer.
RACK this, Korn is fucking obnoxious. At least Miller brought some level of intelligence to the table.

RACK Tivo/DVR

Didn't catch so much as one second of the maudlin NO crap.

BTW -- Is there a bigger bandwagonning douche on this board than Dogkiller?

Yeah yeah, I know he'll come back with "My mother used to suck Archie Griffin's Garbage Man's cock," but seriously...give it a rest, JSC.

Or, go start your "RACK the Detroit Tigers" thread...whatever.
