RF, I can see where posting a mod's PM is not kosher but what was m2 asked to "tone down" in the first place?
Yeah, he's a goof (intentionally so, as was alluded to by Mgo) but until he posted the PMs I'm not sure where he was ever running afoul of the rules here in such a way or to such a degree that some sort of warning PM even needed to be issued to him...
Christ, it's about time.
Van, screw the 'what did he do to deserve a banning' BS. This board ain't a democracy and I hate when people treat it as such. Really... it's just a board. If we don't like 'im, get rid of 'em. It's not like we have to answer to the Spreme Court or anything... it doesn't go up for a vote... etc. Screw it. The mods don't have to answer any questions 'bout it. He was a pain in the ass. Ban 'im.
Check the TROTS forum for a better understanding. He was trying to start a thread claiming Indy "melted". Indy trots'd 2 or 3 of them, then m2 whent Shrubber-ish and decided to start posting PM's.
I would have to check with the admins, but I believe he was given a time out.
Just so everyone knows, he was given ample warning via PM to tone down the spamming the forum.
There's pretty clear rules in here that everyone follows and has for the better part of 5 years. No racial shit, no politics, no trolls, and no spamming.

What's done was done for good reason. All I will say on the subject is for the better part of a year, I have posted PMs to m2 asking him to tone it down. He always seemed to oblige only to ome back a couple weeks later and pull the same shit again.
In the off season, it was geting old, but we let it slide. It was brought up numerous times on whether to give him a time out. I always said no as far as I was concerned because I thought I could handle it with him personally.
I finally had enough and requested his departure. Now we can get back to CFB talk without page stretching pics, Kal talk, ren geek talk, etc. If you miss m2, feel free to go through his archive in TROTS.
