Leafs get smoked by Ottawa 4-1

Post by The Rat Pack »

Wow

That was quick. Already in the toilet.

I really have to wonder what the Leafs are thinking about playing Wade Belak. Straight up, he blows. Without him the Leafs were in this game. Kubina will be back tomorrow and I expect not to anymore Belak....thank god.

Gerber seems like a solid upgrade for Ottawa. I think their goaltending woes might be over.

Hal Gill getting undressed by Chris Neil was so ugly.

Cixi..

Are we gonna have to put up with your blabbering pussy all winter long?

Are you really that outraged? Do you really care whether there is a thread about the Ottawa game?

Thank god that I devote my time and effort into this mausoleum. Thank god that I impart my insights into this NyQuil-land. Thank god...

I might make this My Official-Toronto-Playoff-Elimination-Thread.

Come on Rat, the Leafs are bad but at least give them the first period to stink up the ACC before you post something like this..

On a related note: Based on calls to the local sports station, Chairman Mo's act is already getting stale to many...

He really needs to come up with another excuse besides "the players just aren't in shape" to explain his game plan failure and why they played horribly.
Looks as if Quinn wasn't the problem afterall...

Your first post, before you edited it, was the game score and a finger pointing laugh. If you have an actual take to post then post it (if you must...think long and hard before you hit submit), otherwise we can do without the scoreboard and your 2 word comment. Those are a bigger waste of space than most of your other posts.

I plan on it.

Otis has given me his word that he'll make sure Shaolzie doesn't change my picks.

Ho ho ho Will Toronto hold a lead or will the tankjob be even more brutal than getting shutout? Time will tell.

Are you gonna watch the Battle of Alberta with me, Jojo? I'm staying up...

But who really cares? I'd like to see Ottawa & Big Smoke lose all their games. A split is fine with me.

I haven't seen the Leafs completely bitch slap a team, like they did the Senators last night in the 6-0 win. They controlled every aspect of the game. I guess Pat Quinn was the problem after all...

And you'd explain having their asses handed to them by the Senators the night before how?

How many shots on goal did the Leafs have in that game? The difference is tonight they buried their chances. Under Quinn, how many times did the Leafs have over 30 shots?

Every dog has its day.. tonight was the Leafs. Don't get used to it because it's not going to become a regular occurrence.
Now then, under Quinn what was their record against Ottawa...

What's Maurice's record so far?
Game set and match.

Hap, Quinn wasn't the problem. The problem was that the team JFJ assembled last year sucked. Nothing has changed this year either, this team is one Sundin injury away from finishing last.

Last year? One win, seven loses last year and MANY ass kickings amoung the loses. Quinn did a lot for the Leafs, but like any coach he had a "best before date" but his expired about two years ago.

Well actually I meant overall but since you decided to take his worst year... let's keep the facts straight shall we... last year was the one when he was handed a lineup that sucked from top to bottom courtesy of JFJ's poor deals...

Can you honestly see a 40 goal scorer on this team besides Sundin?
How about a 30 goal scorer?

This team will be lucky to have more than 2, 20 goal scorers (Sundin and Tucker being those)

Gill's going to be this year's version of Aki Berg...

Antropov... Can't blame Quinn this time around now eh?

Like Owen Nolan? How's Brad Boyes working out....for Boston? Who brought in Aki Berg? How about Renberg? Reichel? Thought so.

At least when those trades and signings were made, Quinn had the Leafs in contention to win the Cup.

Fergie Junior's signings and trades have the Leafs desperately trying to just make the playoffs.

Or did you forget that part?
