Mizzou @ Texas Tech (tbs 6central)

Post by Adelpiero »

Is this team for real? Will know after tonight, and definately after the OU game.

@Tech
@aTm
Oklahoma

i could see them going 0-3 if they lose tonight, or going 3-0 if they win tonight(etc). Its a definate make or break stretch for the program. No more cream puffers the rest of the way.

MU should beat Tech, defensively, MU gets to the qb(20 sacks already), they practice against a similar offense that Tech runs. The loss of starting cb johnson hurts, but some decent septh in secondary should help stop Tech offense(atleast contain them)

game comes down to MU secondary vs Tech Wr's. Tech wr's are big, MU secondary smallish, so the front 4 must get to the qb, or it could be a long day for both defenses.

MU 34
Tech 17

Daniel returns to texas(south lake carrol star, player of year), it's his b-day, it's his team and no reaosn he doesn't get 330yds 4tds

ps tony temple should have a huge day vs tech, he's running with the power and speed that made him the top freshman in country in highschool(rockhurts high), injuries killed him as a sophmore-senior year, but when he's right, he's very good.

A very interesting game for me since we will get to see if Mizzou can get it done on the road.
I don't know who to pick, should be damn close.

I have absolutely no clue about who's going to win this game. It could be a real nail biter that goes either way or it could be a blowout... that goes either way.

One thing for sure. It'll be a pass crazy shoot-out with both teams probably throwing the ball at least 40 times.

It'll also be entertaining as hell and a must watch game even for CFB fans who don't give a crap about either team.

What the hell, I'll say:

Rf, shouldn't you be more concerned with getting your own hopes and dreams crushed right about now?

i think it should be an interesting game. i also can't remember the last time MU played a game that mattered in a national way. but, they are cute to watch.

OH MY GAWD!

Back to back INT's for Mizzou TD's and a 24-0 lead.

Pinch me, this NOT happening.

Tech fans are freaking out, and so is this Tiger fan.

Wow, just wow.

The difference, Wags, is that OU fan is always in meaningful games. Sure, we lose from time to time, but the games always matter. To us, crushed dreams usually mean no national title and a coach on the hot seat; however, MU fan gets to equate crushed dreams with the likes of KU and five-loss seasons. Hell, Mizzou loses five games and Pinky gets an extension.

But I digress ...

I look across the sideline and hate everything Texas stands for. I hate burnt orange. I hate Colt Trickle. I hate Bevo. I hate Best Buy associate Mack Brown ... and I especially hate PrimeX.

That said, I respect the hell out of all of them. When the final whistle blows, whatever the outcome, both teams know a fight has taken place.

MU, on the other hand, is the nerdy kid that sits in the back of English class blowing snot bubbles all day. Yeah, he might beat up on a few freshmen that trip over themselves trying to throw a punch, but what happens when one of the school heavies gets pissed off?

I'll respect your program about the time it starts rattling off annual top ten teams and national championship contenders. Until then, enjoy kicking ass in D-grade matchups.

You guys rock.

Srsly, though, congrats on your stellar season thus far beating cupcakes with traditions equal to blue light specials at K-Mart. Sure ... you might see this as bitter ramblings from a pissed off OU fan, but I've seen high school teams put forth more effort than Ol' Miss and Ohio did in those games.

Crow all you like, but the answer to the question, "are we good" won't be answered until the two-game tilt later this month with OU and the Cockhuskers (yep ... respect the hell out of that team, too).

You know it. I know it. Bob Dole knows it.

Drink a beer and enjoy your trip to wherever the hell the Cave Creek Chilli Beer Bowl is being played this year.

You've earned it.

Yep.

But feel free to not respect these Tigers...it makes it that much easier to sneak up on you right before the mugging.

But who's "crowing", anyways?

There's still an entire 2nd half left to play, and shit happens when you're on the road.

I'm not chalking this game up in the win column yet by any means.

24-14, Tech is tailor-made for comeback football. Should be a nailbiter.

Rack. I really don't know who to pick either, but I'd say that the edge goes to the one in the middle....

--------------

17 point lead with 15 minutes to go oughtta be good enough for a sixth W... But I know I won't relax 'til the final gun sounds.

Go Tigers!

Well, the best Mizzou QB's play for Kansas so that makes it a wash, eh?

Requiem for this game. 28 points off of turnovers that the Mizzou defense created.

Texas Tech hadn't seen a pass rush like Mizzou can bring on every down.

Those guys just pin their ears back and get after it. I think Gunther would love that defense.

Put pressure on the QB, good things are bound to happen.

Nice win tonight - suddenly Pinkel is not a blithering idiot.

Errr......

WTF? He suddenly knows how to coach with Danials, but couldn't figure out how to maximize Brad Smith?

I digress.

Maybe it's just the supporting cast is so much stronger - Great to see the D being played by the Tigers.

Watching Nebraska last week against KU,
Nebraska doesn't look great.
And they are working Iowa State right now.

I'd say the North is Mizzou's for the taking this year.

MU goes 6-0 and the fucking Mizzou fans come out of the wood work. ;)

Im loving this. Watched every minute of the game tonight, and have listened to every minute thus far this season, when not on TV. This is uncharted territory for me as an MU fan. SWEET BABY! Gotta love it. 6-0 does not suck.

However, I cant get to geeked about the game itself tonight. Tech did alot more to beat Tech, than MU did to beat them. 5 1/2* turn overs kills most teams. * - Funny as hell watching Tech QB fumble twice on the same play!

Anywho, piss on the haters.

Pinkel will somehow fuck this up.

He's the Quin Snyder of Football.

Arrggghhhhhhhhh.

Wait, he's only in year 5 of his 5 year plan.

OK - Faith...... Faith I tell ya.
