HEY VAN?

Post by bradhusker »

van, I like to bring back your OWN words, that way, you can fully realize just how stupid you really are.

quote from van,
"auburn and Lsu would both crush nebraska", end quote.

now, what on earth gives you that idea van? is it because van goes by rankings?
cause auburn is ranked no. 2 in the country, does that make it so?
auburn just got crushed by ark. and, Lsu looks like crap against the gators, and, I am not sure how the usc/wash. game will play out, BUT, usc certainly is not the no. 3 team in the land.
if ark. can crush and humiliate auburn, then, its safe to say that aurburn wouldnt crush nebraska,
and van? usc, the no. 3 team in the land? they look like garbage today,
hows that feel?

I'm thinking nah, there's almost zero chance of that.

Pretty good chance though that Texas will run it down your throats.

Nice! I can easily picture SoCal getting a facial tic as he's forced to intentionally misspell words while typing up that homage to Brad...

SoCal, btw, have fun there next week in a thoroughly pissed off Autzen.

what is it with you west coast pussies? the big 12 beats you fruits up, and you come back for more?
the only reason that usc beat nebraska was because our coach didnt want to fully open up his playbook, thats why all the runs on 3rd and long,
after seeing usc barely survive washington, and I mean barely, we'd love another shot come bowl time,

The West Coast already played you this year.

We know you don't do that anymore. We definitely know.

Also, last I checked Texas wasn't on the West Coast.

Nebraska reminds me of a puppy that craps on your carpet. To break him of the habit you sometimes have to rub his nose in it.

Brad, prepare to be shit nosed by Texas, twice.

I heard an interesting note last night.
Oct. 21 will be Pony McCoy's first game outside the state of Texas.

Brad, prepare to be shit nosed by Texas, twice.
OMG, this would suggest Nebraska will win the North!

What exactly does this mean? "hey vito?"

Are you asking if it is Vito? Do you feel alone and lost and this is your way of reaching out? Would you like Vito to come and caress your soft pink hands? Did you get an ear of corn lodged in your ass? Do you want to cuddle with him after Texas takes Callahan to the cleaners?

Yes, Colt's first game as a starter outside of Texas will be on Oct 21.

I might be worried, but so far he has carried himself well beyond his years as a player. Nebraska has great fans but playing there is not hostile like the Cotton Bowl, the shoe, or Arkansas. I doubt it will be enough to rattle him.

yea, I think the corn will win the north, but I am actually pulling for Mizzou since them going undefeated or one loss will help Texas a lot in the polls when we win the Big 12.

And make no mistakes Texas is two touchdowns better than any other team in the Big 12. I wasn't sure how good we were but now that Colt is starting to come into his own everything else is falling into place.

McCoy is definately looking better now. I think Texas probably would have beaten Ohio State had he had a few games under his belt.

That said...hearing Texas fan belittle Nebraska and penciling in the win already just makes me shake my head. When SC fan jumps in on the pile, I can't help but chuckle. As great a team as USC is, they showed they are beatable a couple of times already this year. They are NOT mid-90's Nebraska juggernauts despite what ESPN tells them and the rest of the nation year after year recently. I will forever wonder what the results for USC would have been in Lincoln this year with Callahan opening up the playbook and not playing to prevent a blowout. Calling my shot now.... USC gets an ass-whipping in Lincoln next year.

Back to Texas vs. Nebraska. Go ahead and chalk up a "W" boys as if Nebraska was just the AFC representive in a circa early 90's Super Bowl. Last I checked, it was another cfb game for Texas against a conference rival in their crib. Stranger shit has happened and contrary to all the quips on the thread, Nebraska is capable of beating any team in the nation with a few breaks and a little luck. Mack and McCoy could = goats here in a couple weeks. Could Nebraska beat Texas twice this year? (should they both make the conference title game) Fuck no. Once? Damn straight they could. Hate to mess up your MNC aspirations like that.

Zach Taylor = James Brown? (the TX QB that cost us a 3rd consecutive national title) See ya in Lincoln.

Uhhh, no. It might be close. Hell, Nebraska may even eke one out. Not likely, but possible.

USC getting an ass whipping? By Nebraska, under Bill Callahan? Not a chance. The best anybody can hope to do against USC right now and in the near future (USC will almost certainly be better next year than this year, what with all their young talent maturing) is to simply beat them. Nobody is going to kick their ass. You have to go back five years before you'll see a double digits loss by USC and it sure as hell isn't going to happen next year at the hands of a Bill Callahan led Nebraska team.

Then how do you account for the lackluster performances against middle of the road Pac 10 foes? I don't care how much talent you got...you can get your ass whipped on a bad day. Certainly against a top 25 team. But I suppose USC being an elite team is a new experience for trojan fan. (sans your 65 year old uncle) Your day will come. Husker fans have been there and done that....for about 40 years now.

Yep, our day will come. Everybody gets their ass kicked eventually. I started following USC in 1972 so I've seen plenty of asskickings.

There's just not going to be one in Lincoln next year, not unless USC is administering it.

Of all the teams I have watched this year, Texas and USC have the most upside. You can see the young talent maturing with each game. As this season moves forward both will only get better and better, the one flaw is injuries, I noticed that USC is getting hit with a few as is Texas.

And I agree that the Corn has the ability to beat Texas, any time you start a freshman QB you will likely lose a game you shouldn't. But Texas losing to Nebraska even in their house would be a big upset. Yes stranger things have happened but this Texas team knows that you guys are the toughest team left on the schedule. My biggest concern is losing to you guys in the B-12 championship game, which happens a lot more when facing a team for the 2nd time in the same season.

So let me just say, no Texas is not the 95 huskers, but our oline and defense is as good as any Nebraska had in the 90's sans 95, and our WRs are better than any Nebraska has ever had. Outside of that the only thing holding this team back from being the best is still the QB play, thus when I see improved play from our QB I see Texas passing a lot of good teams.
