With the losses of the other teams in the top 10 today, Louisville might not fall as far as first thought.

Florida may drop somewhat too, based on a not exactly scintillating win where they had to block a field goal on the last play of the game.

Close... but just behind Cal.

Cal got OU'd by Pac 10 refs.

OU is very good team.

This should put ND back into the title chase.

Texas is out of the MNC race, but they still have a conference to win. We do that and win our bowl game and I am happy. It all starts with beating the crap out of the Aggies. That is a prospect that I used to take for granted.

As far as the top 10 goes I have now lost my interest in the race now that we are KSU's bitch.

I called it at the beginning of the year that we would drop one we weren't supposed to. Well it sucks to be right.

If Texas had won last night they'd be ripe-for-the-picking by ATM, but coming off the upset the horns should be very fired-up and focused on finishing business in the 12.

The horns should win but ATM will give their usual (for this year) scare before finding a way to lose a close one.

I tell ya what though...that loss to Michigan could come back and haunt the Irish a second time. Let's say the Wolverines lose to the Buckeyes Saturday (unlikely but for hypothetical purposes plausible ;) )...and the Irish win out including a win against USC. If it came down to a one loss Michigan team whose one loss was to the #1 team and a one loss Notre Dame team who was throttled by Michigan early on...who should get that #2 position? If the BCS formula somehow screws Michigan and puts Notre Dame ahead of them in that circumstance, college football would be dead to me until a playoff is in place. Notre Dame should be rooting for Michigan on Saturday to win.

The way I see it, there are three major games left in the season...Michigan-Ohio State, USC-Notre Dame and the SEC chamionship game (Arkansas-Florida). I hate to say this but Rutgers and Boise State are pretty much screwed out of the whole mix and that's a crime. ACC championship game could feature a one loss Wake Forest team but they've got no shot at jumping everyone given the down year the conference has had. Maybe if they were unbeaten, that's another story.

Let's run through the scenarios...
Michigan beats Ohio State, USC beats Notre Dame, Florida beats Arkansas...Michigan vs. Ohio State/USC/Florida
Michigan beats Ohio State, Notre Dame beats USC, Florida beats Arkansas...Michigan vs. Ohio State/Notre Dame/Florida
Michigan beats Ohio State, USC beats Notre Dame, Arkansas beats Florida...Michigan vs. Ohio State/USC (given USC beat Arkansas, Arkansas should be eliminated)
Michigan beats Ohio State, Notre Dame beats USC, Arkansas beats Florida...Michigan vs. Ohio State/Notre Dame/Arkansas
Ohio State beats Michigan, USC beats Notre Dame, Florida beats Arkansas...Ohio State vs. Michigan/USC/Florida
Ohio State beats Michigan, Notre Dame beats USC, Florida beats Arkansas...Ohio State vs. Michigan/Florida (given Michigan beat Notre Dame, Notre Dame should be eliminated)
Ohio State beats Michigan, USC beats Notre Dame, Arkansas beats Florida...Ohio State vs. Michigan/USC (Arkansas eliminated)
Ohio State beats Michigan, Notre Dame beats USC, Arkansas beats Florida...Ohio State vs. Michigan/Arkansas (Notre Dame eliminated)

Going through these combination of occurences, I don't think either of Michigan or Ohio State would necessarily be eliminated with a loss on Saturday and Notre Dame and Arkansas would have rooting interests in the matter for certain things to happen. If the BCS formula is supposed to work...Notre Dame should never leap over Michigan and Arkansas should never leap over USC.

Easy there champ. Stoops has beaten more ranked teams than Pinkel this year and he's one win away from a bowl at a TERRIBLE program.
a bowl game?

woah, you mean beating a 1aa team, then beating some shitty out of conference, then going under .500 in conference and getting a bowl bid is something special???? woah nelly.

pac10 isnt much USC is the best team in conference, from 1-2 is a drastic drop. he is a shitty coach.

I guess Adel wasn't in here when I said, BEFORE the OU game, that Mizzou would finish 8-4. Stay tuned.

Quite the world-beater slate of wins Missouri has there, Adel.
hey dickjaw

i predicted a 8-4 season. and stated that their out of conference schedule was shitty to say the least, and that mu would go 4-4 in conference.. Hopefully zona makes a bowl game, and faces a big12 team. my bank account needs a easy cover lately.

stoops is shitty. i'm taking a shit on his coaching ability.

woah nelly, i actually came in here and predicted 8-4 before the season started. and nailed their wins and losses so far(ok, had tech as loser and aTm as a winner, so even on that). woah nelly.
