Overall, the Ducks sisn't play that badly, but the vast suckage of Dennis Dixon and the coaching staff more than made up for the good effort by the rest of the team.
But since it's truly season-over time, I'd rather spend my time congratulating USC for playing a very good game, rather than dwelling on the Ducks' suckage.
As always, the loss wasn't due to a lack of a monster game by Blair Phillips.
First time
Ass Booty has played with superior confidence since early season. And with the caliber of recievers they have, that's just about all it takes on offense.
Neither team did much to dispell the whole "the PAC10 can't tackle" thing. USC just did a much better job of it.

From the game you could clearly see on the screens that 1. Stewart was out of bounds and then came back in to make the catch 2. An Oregon player tipped the ball, not a Trojan player and 3. When Stewart came down to the ground, half his foot was on the white line at the back of the end zone.
You must have seen a different 10,000 replays than I did. Looked like he was in-bounds. And it became pretty clear after replay #2548 that a USC player (#58) tipped the ball up near the line of scrimmage.
But that said, although it was still impossible to tell from 10,000 replays, that may very well have been the first play in football history where there were actually
two illegal touching fouls on the same play. After the first few replays, I was actually kind of convinced that at least one had occurred, but after about 1200 more, I found it "inconclusive," and was actually trying to be unbiased (I was watching it in a bar surrounded by a Sea Of Green) on the deal. Every angle made the play look entirely different.
BUT when all was said and done...what THE FUCK was that?
When the ref came back with "after further review, there's conclusive evidence to reverse the earlier reversal"...I was so freaking aghast, I didn't even know what to say...so I oredered another beer.
Jeebus...was the replay guy hallucinating the first time, then had a moment of clarity the second go-around? Did the officiating crew get together and say "you, know, I hate both Bellotti AND Carroll...how can we piss them BOTH off to the point they have coronaries?" Fucking A', how about we just resolve disputed plays by having the head coaches engage in a fistfight on the 50? Would probably be equally as accurate a system, and probably wouldn't take as long.
After the 2.5 hours of replays, I seriously doubt there was one person on the planet who truly knows exactly what went down on that play....everybody has their own theory without a doubt, many of theories tainted by homerism, no doubt. But how the replay official can say he saw something conclusive is beyond me, but throwing flags
after the review, and then having the gall to review it again,
then reverse the reversal...I'm sorry, even though the "double reverse" play went my team's way, I can put the homerism aside long enough to ask...
What the fuck?
If you put aside the significance of the effect on the outcome of the game, that was an even bigger travesty than the Oklahoma game.
Before the replay review, there was naturally some incorrect calls made. And when we saw the replays, we could see this. Witht the replay review system, some incorrect calls are still made...lots of action in a football game, and nobody has eyes in the back of their head, and nobody's perfect(with the possible exception of Yours Truly, of course), but then it goes to the replay booth, and gets screwed up even worse. At least in the Old Days, we could Sunday/Monday morning armchair quarterback it up, and bitch about the bad call screwing our team. Now, we instead bitch about complete incompetence, rather than a simple human error...which is worse?
All replay is doing at this point is making for more bathroom breaks during the game. Sure doesn't seem to be doing much about getting the calls right.
If it's like this next season, just shitcan this abominable system.
And rack the Trojans. Time to once again represent the PAC and do us proud again. Just try to not knock any cheerleaders or hoopbitches up on your way to your $35,000 SUV in the parking lot.
