Mizzou - OSU

Post by War Wagon »

Look for a high scoring affair. Mizzou can move the ball up and down the field with anybody. They just can't stop anybody very often, though. Tigers will have to force a coupla' few turnovers, and not give it up themselves to win this game.

Mizzou - 38
OSU - 35

Bingo - Tony Temple leaves 'em holding their jockstraps.

Dins may not have heard of Chase Coffman before this game, but something tells me he'll be very familiar with that name before the day is out.

Let's Go Tigers!!!

Every time i've seen MU this year (3-4) times they always seem to get out to a fast start.

FUCK FUCK FUCK! Fuck you CBS for taking the game down for some presidential funeral crap. If anybody wants to watch that, there are many other stations carrying it.

Bastards!

So now I'm having to listen to the game on the goddamn radio.

I love the call by Pinkel to go for the onside kick to start the second half. Takes some balls.

It still won't stop Oregon State and the Pac 10 from ass raping Missery and the Big 12, just like last night.

I love Tony Temple... since he was the best running back coming outta the KC area as a high school student.

That was a great run.

The game isn't over yet, Whitey.

Truman the Tiger looks like he might need to hit the weight room--kinda scrawny.

Double T is finally starting to show some of the ability he had in HS. Too bad it took him 3 years to finally break out.

How good was that?

47 yard run by Temple followed next by a 19 yard TD pass to Coffman.

umm, Pinkel? You might want to start handing the ball off to #22 some, much more. Every time he touches the ball, good things happen. 17 carries for 187.

If you blow this game, don't bother coming back to Columbia.

great game to watch. but, man, MU games last FOREVER.....you stop the clock as much as they do and OSU doesn't have to use TO's down the stretch.

I was thinking the same thing about "Okie State" games. It seems like they throw 80% of the time.

Fuck!

Way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Only Pinkel could have done that. Up 14 with 8:00 minutes left. Just stopped OSU on 4th down at midfield. Temple runs the ball for 18 more down to the OSU 34 yard line... and they take TT out of the game for the next 3 plays in which they lose 8 yards and wind up punting. Instead of playing to win the game, Pinkle started playing not to lose.

Rack OSU for a great comeback and a gutsy call going for two. At least I called Mizzou's score right, but it wasn't enough.

I'm going shopping for the sturdiest shower rod in KC right about now.

oh, and Kenjina? Could you be any more of a blithering idiot?

Ken, are you really this stupid?

You drop in after the game expecting me to be whining about some call, which wasn't going to happen. As well, Mizzou didn't get "ass-plungered". They lost by one fucking point on a late TD and a gutsy as hell two point conversion.

I hate it they blew the game, but I'm still proud of their performance. That was a great fucking game, win or lose.

Why don't you try "getting over" yourself.

kentucky+10 clemson is a running team, and their qb is horrible. he was exposed late in season. kentucky can move the ball, they also love to give up a lot of points. 30K tucky fans watch their team win this game outright, the points are filler. ************

mizzou +3 1/2 obviously a homer pick. daniel and company will move the ball, osu has the perfect offense to give mu problems. i expect osu to run it right down their fucking throats, mu gets a late td to win or backdoor cover. no big bet, stinkel is the head coach
i'm going to rack myself, for fattening my pocket book. i tried to get the money line on Kentucky, bookie didnt have one.

now if maryland covers, i hit the jackpot, the beer is on me.

on defense, yes, you would be correct. they have NOONE who can cover 1 on 1. their linebackers have no clue. and unless their de's are unabated to the qb, noone is going to feel a tackle, soft defense, which is why they lost a game they had total control in.

why should i get upset??? i've done it so many times under this coaching. i was at harpos in west co, when they tried to freeze the kicker :meds: :meds: :meds: :meds: :meds: :meds: :meds: And when riley went for 2, the defense had no clue what was going on, they did have a timeout left :meds: :meds: :meds:

i bet MU +3 1/2, so in the end, stupidity by pinkel didnt cost me. read a mizzou board, you will see my feelings on losing a 14pt lead, playing conservative, no killer instinct, and losing 4 of last 5, and how pinkel is still a horrible coach with some quality talent at his disposal.

why rant on here weekly about gary, i cried in my beer, no need to on here

This loss was pretty Pinkelesque, props to OSU on gutty play but Mizzou shouldn't have lost that game. Mizzou is going to stay at the same level under Pinkel, over .500 and making bowls but not making bowls worth noting or playing for high stakes. The question is when Mizzou powers-that-be tire of being OK and want more.

what do you mean, many of MU fans consider this to be the the best the program has ever been.

the program is on its way up, ask the kool aid drinkers.

if pinkel had a better coaching staff, you could hide his shitty coaching, with eberflus and christiansen as his def and ocoords, he's toast. they should of given Dodge a ton of money and his son a scholarsip to get him at MU. he is the reason daniel went to MU. He begged and pleaded to Gary to offer Daniel(daniel had alsmot no offers at the time), sent him gamefilm after gamefilm, Gary offered, Daniel went. Maybe Dodge didnt want the job, but Pinkels loyalty to his coaching staff is sickening. Bad coaches have to go, they will kill you in the end, ask Bobby Bowden about his son, he killed their offense and team.

Putting together a quality staff and facilitating them doing their jobs is a big part of being a head coach. The right staff can make-up for a lot or make you look lousy, Bowden is a perfect example. Pinkel could be successful with the right staff, but if he is stubborn and won't make necessary change that program will never get to the next level.

Sorry adel.

Losing that game really, really pissed me off. It should piss off all Tiger fans.

And here I thought I was pissed about Tyus Edney's last second shot. This was worse.

But hey, at least i didn't punch any holes in drywall this time, though I wanted to.

Mizzou will be back next year better than ever.
