I hope tOSU beats the shit out of them. I think tOSU has the better team and they should win by 10+ points. Florida though has caught every break this season. From muffed punts, blocked PATs, to teams imploding in the 2nd Half. I think tOSU will win, but UF has gotten the breaks all year.

Thanks, 88. I was bewildered by the lack of a game-day trash-talk thread, and contemplated starting one.
With Troy Smith's connon-where-his-arm-should be, he should be capable of threading some passes through the speedy defense.
I wish I could stick to a prediction, but my breakdowns seem to change every 10 minutes. On paper, OSU wins in a landslide. My senses tell me that Florida isn't going to roll over that easily.
I just have a hunch that this game will be closer than a lot of people are predicting. But then again, it could be a blowout...but I doubt it.
While Leak isn't considered to be "big time" by most, it seems like that fucker has been the starter there for like 14 years, and is no stranger to big games, what with playing in the SEC and whatnot.
I'm neutral on these teams -- I hate them both almost equally, and I STILL can't really lay down any concrete "keys to the game" (besides the obvious "they need to play good football....they need to not commit turnovers....they need to execute on offense" and all the other announcerspeak that they think makes them sound enlightened and intelligent).
Put a gun to my head, and I'll go with 30-27 OSU...begrudgingly.
Alls I knows, is that I'm stoked. GAME ON!!!!

I consider my picks to be of utmost reliability -- through the season, I'm golden. Big CFB games? One could make a fortune betting the opposite of my picks.

The MNC game, so soon?*
The actual kickoff is supposed to be 7:15 p.m. CT, in case you want to avoid all of the pregame bullshit as I will.
I'm in agreement with Dins about the game -- my head tells me tOSU is going to roll, but my gut tells me UF will hang in there for a close game. I hope so. Seeing a game like last year's Rose Bowl wouldn't suck at all.
* Yes, sarcasm.

This would have been an excellent time for you, of all people, to keep a lid on it.
Oh, and btw- PSSSSSST!!!!!!....I gave a score, no less. But don't tell anyone, OK?

Let's all just hope this time around there are no phantom pass interference calls and Ohio State actually wins this one.
As for my pick for the game.....
I have seen both team play many times this year (including OSU in person), and there's no doubt they're superior to Florida. If this game is played a month ago, Buckeyes by 20......maybe more. But 50 days off is an eternity and anything can happen. That's what sucks about these bowl games. It could take the Buckeyes a half just to get into the flow of the game. If so, this will be a nail-biter. Tressel is a damn good coach and I don't think anyone in the country does a better job of keeping their team focused for games like this. So, I'm thinking Buckeyes win 31-17. Close for a quarter, then Leak makes a costly mistake giving tOSU some momentum and they get rolling from there. Too many offensive weapons for Gators to handle. The only way Florida wins is if they find a back to give them a consistent running game, and I cannot see that happening nor do I expect Urban to even bother running the football except when he throws Tebow out there. Meyer will try to get cute and it will end up biting him in the ass. This ain't Arkansas, Urban. Fake punts on your own 10 will turn this game into a 50 point ass kicking.
I think it is highly possible Ohio State wins by 30. Yes, 30. That's not a typo. I'm rooting for Florida, but the fact remains, they aren't that great. Good, but not great. Ohio State is great. In fact, they're one of the best teams of my generation. I also think it's possible it could be a close game due to the long layover for the Buckeyes. But I see no scenario in which Florida actually wins.
Smith throws for 250, Pittman runs for 110, defense makes key plays. Buckeyes roll.

Ohio State ACTUALLY won the last one, dick-for-brains.
Fuck, you're dumb.
Honestly, I don't know how to call this game, not that it would matter given my "skills" at prognostication. I think that, if it's close, it's Ohio State, but I could also see a blowout happening in either direction.
I'm gonna say Florida by 4. The combined score will be in the late 40's / early 50's.
...but don't listen to me, 'cause I'm a dumbass.

Congrats, Wags. Good win.
Florida takes this one.
But what the fuck do I know... I also took Boise State over Oklahoma.
I was a big fan of the Buckeyes as a kid when they had Archie Griffin and Cornelius Greene.
Hell, I've even got drunk with a Buckeye at the airport in St. Louis during a lay over.
Buckeye fan's may even remember this guy... he goes by the name of John Brockington.
I never remembered John as a Buckeye, but I did remember him as a Green Bay Packer back in the early 70's. Great player.
The only reason I knew he was a Buckeye, was due to the fact that he told me he was on his way to L.A. for a Rose Bowl reunion they were having.
Bright guy, and fun to get drunk with. Had some great story's of playing on the frozen tundra in Green Bay. If I'm not wrong, I think he may have also been the "Rookie of the Year" in the NFL.
Oh yeah, did I mention that Florida takes this one tonight?

OSU will be able to move the ball, untill that dickwad for Arkansas fumbled the punt for a Florida td, arkansas took the lead, and was running through florida like they were standing still. 1 play cost them, osu plays smart football, they should be able to run and use their te and ginn for big plays.
if their defense keeps florida to 2 plays of 20+, they win in a blowout, if not, we got ourselves a track meet.

Its a damn good thing I'm sitting on my ass in Cleveland instead of being in Glendale. As those of you know who have met me in person at tOSU games and such, I'm a fairly docile guy that enjoys a good time. But sometimes I get in a weird mood. It happens almost every time I drink Jack Daniel's whiskey. It also happens when Ohio State plays in the MNC game.
I'd probably be cool, sipping a frosty beverage and talking with my homies until some bare chested faggot wearing orange and blue body paint strode by and said the clever word "Fuckeyes". Then it would be on. And 10 minutes later I'd be sitting in the back of a squad car with my orange and blue fists handcuffed behind my back. Nope, I'm much better off in front of my own house, couches ablaze, randomly shooting my AR-15 into the air.
Go Bucks.

We need more representation from the SEC especially florida, auburn alabama and LSU.
We need less representation from Kal
Just got back from the local mini mart where I saw 2 guys throw down a 300 dollar bet on the game. True story, I saw the cash handed to a neutral party for holding. Man those gaytor fans are fools. Can't make the auto payment on thier truck but throw away 300 beans like it was an empty can of skool.
Good luck buck fans, your a decent bunch I'll be pullin for ya.

On the Left Coast, I saw Florida play quite a few times...and from what I saw, this isn't going to be the OSU cakewalk many are predicting.
But if quality of marching bands is any indication, Florida is about to get KILLED. The drum major chick looked pretty hot, though.

I made my band-based predictions before the OSU band played...there was no question as to whether they were going to bring it.
Florida...not so good.
Yup, should be a close one. Then again, I was one who said Texas had NO CHANCE in the Rose last year, so...maybe I should go with Florida in a landslide, since USC's band is superior to Texas'.
Nah, I'll stick with my original, since I went to all the trouble of posting it and stuff.

Us PAC10 folks may homer for the PAC10 hardcore(for DAMN good reason), but I've yet to find so much as one homer who thinks the football officiating is worth a shit.
Why would they do that for the Big One?
"Hey, let's see if we can find the worst refs on the planet, and see if they'll do the game. Maybe we can get Oregon's ever-reliable video truck in here for the replays."
