My father-in-law comes over last night to tell me that he got a hold of 2 Super Bowl tickets. I knew where this conversation was heading...

He proceeds to tell me that since his other son-in-law is a huge Colts fan and had been all his life, he was going to take him to Miami to the SB along with their significant others.

My wife and I are to stay at home and guess what...we get to take care of their daughter, our niece. So, not only do I not get to go to the SB (if the Colts make it), I have to stay home and watch not only my kid but my niece as well.

Fuck that. Go Pats.

Not really...but the pops-in-law said "I get next" in case the Astros go to the World Series, titans make the SB or the Aggies ave a huge BCS game or run in March Madness. Sure, pops took the bro-in-law to a Cards/Tigers WS game but I didn't get to go to the Stros/White Sox WS game.

if the Clots make it, they're playing in the Super Bowl (which you'll be watching on TV), but if the Pats make it, you're in all likelyhood headed for Miami....

(to be perfectly honest, I don't really care who wins so long as Peyton throws for 450 yds, and 5 TD's)

No, I'm a Titans fan. I am a "dotted-line" Colts fan as my in-laws take me to all the Colts games. They have like 20 season tickets and I get to go to all the home games so I root for them (if the Titans are the suck that year which they have been).

So, whether the Colts win or not, I'm not going to the SB. We're having a bitch of a time already finding a babysitter for the SB sicne everyone here is planning on going to some kind of SB party. My kid is too young to leave with a little teenybopper.

It's kind of like having a bachelor party, but you know ahead of time there will be no alcohol or titty bars at it.
