Obama has spent a lifetime running from his family heritage and religious heritage. Would his father have given his son a Koranic name if the father was not a devout Muslim? Obama's stepfather was also a Muslim. Obama will be the first Muslim-heritage senator; he should be proud of that fact. There is nothing to be ashamed of in any of the three great Abrahamic religions.

Just two years ago he was a State Senator. Harvard Law degree or not, I'd like for his education on the world and national level to continue before he becomes the Leader of the Free World.
You mean like being a drunk and a Cokehead... and having daddy hook you up with a sweet gig where you hire a vice-president to be the real president?

Thanks for providing a link you swiftboat dumbfuck.
And I should believe that link, just because it has cites from reuptable sources. I'll stick with the unsubstatiated email I get from my list of Republican parrots.

You can't trust those sons of goatherders. Really. We need another son of a bootlegger who was a radical Catholic. That's what we need right there.
Dude, that story has been debunked over and over nad over aand over again. Try to keep up.

Seems to be some question on both sides of the aisle as to which God he prays too. That can't be good going into a presidential election. Would you rather find out after the fact that the article in question was accurate. The question of which is true will be his downfall....

I don't think either side of the aisle should give a shit who prays to which God.

I don't doubt it for a minute...
A majority of the politicians have to go to undergradute school as lawyers... to work on their skills to lie.
Once they get really good at being able to lie to a room full of people in a courthouse, they can make their way to a bigger stage and lie to "a district", "a city", "a state", and may be even "a country".
Al Gorebbels doesn't have a prayer. Besides his religious fervor is being consumed by his role as Flagellant in Chief of global warming wingnuts world wide.
I beg to differ
recent polls have him kicking the rest of the leading dems butts
and after the way Bush has screwed up the last 7 years there is no way in hell that the public is going to elect another repug next time out....

You would think they learned something from Mondale's genius maneuver in picking a female VP. I don't see a minority or a woman getting elected POTUS. People will bail from that notion at the last minute in the booth no matter what the polls say.

The only way Gore runs is if Hillary flames out in spectacular fashion (here, I'm not talking about losing primaries, more like something along the line of a scandal we haven't heard before or a spectacular foot-in-mouth display along the lines of Biden last week), and a "draft Gore" campaign is successful. No way does Gore go head-to-head against Hillary -- both owe too much to her husband to allow that to happen.
And you can cross Wes Clark off the list for the same reason, even though I still hear his name mentioned in some Democratic circles.

The '08 election is the Dems' to lose. The only way they lose it is to make a monumental mistake. Like nominating Hillary.

Thats my point. I know it will be a huge factor. I hate how they have come to dominant the conservative side of politics. I am a Christian, but I dont see how him being a Mormon would make him a worse President than a Christian one.

And the hits just keep on coming.
He does have a limited point. I suppose the difference is between crazy and batshit crazy.
I'd argue that a president who claims that he can look into Putin's eyes and get a "sense of his soul" is the latter.

He will be the first Republican to bow out of the race. Dude's latest polling numbers are running at like 4%, you fucking idiot. Do you ever tire of being the dumbest "legitimate" poster on here?
Sorry that I am not just sitting back and pulling for either McCain or Rudy. That is who I am backing. Last time I saw it was 7% but I am hoping he sticks it out a little while longer.
If he does bow out then I will throw support for another candidate, but I think he would do the best job.

Well, if he sticks it out a little longer he should get to 1%.
