I may be a Laker honk
but the double standard officiating is unwatchable....
Media darling Wade draws fouls if someone looks crosseyed at him.
Kobe gets butchered - no call.
Phil Jackson gets paid to watch the game. How much would it have cost the Lakers in their
contract with him to include coaching once in a while?
Gimme college hoops anytime
Rant over.

It kinda helps when you have the most talented players in the league for the majority of your career. The Seer wrote:Phil Jackson gets paid to watch the game.
'Bode the most overrated coach in NBA history ... I guess.

And you obviously haven't watched many NBA stats. Anytime you make Cicero right, it's time to pipe down.
The difference between Wade and Bryant is roughly two attempts per game, which is the difference of one shooting-foul.
They take roughly the same number of FG attempts per game, except Kobe average quite a few(about 3) more 3 point attempts per game. The chances of getting throws on a 3 pointer are much less than a 2PT attempt, especially considering how few jumpers Wade takes, since most of his attempts come going to the hole, whereas Kobe finds a lot more jumpers after creating open space.
So, when you toss out the skewed homerism and actually examine facts, your argument hold no water. The stats would show a slight tendency towards Kobe getting more love from the refs, although it works out to be fairly even either way, when you apply some logic as to the type of shots each is taking.
And if you break it down that way, it would appear that Gilbert Arenas is getting way too many favors from the refs, as does Paul Pierced. And they reeeeeallly seem to like Amare. Other side of the coin, based on the logical criteria I mentioned, the refs don't appear to like Melo much.
