i didn't sit down and figure it out, but i knew it was going to be close. the OT game b/ween Miami and FSU was the difference--among others i guess, but that's one that stands out. ouch. fuggin canes.

props to moon, the new champ.

Props to moon...he's always seems to be in contention in any pick 'em game he involves himself in. Not sure if he's won anything yet. Regardless, congrats!

I finished the year on a high note...a few strong weeks in a row but still finished 14 points back of the champ. Hard to beat someone who doesn't seem to have an off week.

Finally I win something.

Thanks Shine for running this all year. It was a blast and the changes at the end really made it close.

When I saw that MSU beat the spread I thought KC had me but that FSU-Miami OT game did end up being a hugegame for the pick 'em.

Congrats to all who played and made it a great contest.

my original "go for broke" set of pix had both UCONN and the points and MSU and the points...since i knew i had to go against moon to win. but, i edited the UCONN game out Friday night.....figuring that i needed to pick up a 3 pointer to have a chance....but i liked the Baylor pick against OSU (moon's pick) because Boggan was suspended and it was at Baylor and liked the default pick of picking where to go against moon if i got a home team in a rivalry game--Miami-FSU. there were other variables and other games obviously outside my "strategems" but those were key. but, i figured my chances were better to get the one 3 pointer and pick up the difference (esp. with Baylor and Miami at home) in the regular slate than hoping for the two covers by UCONN and MSU. calculated risks.....almost worked.

last year shoalzie i came down to the last week tied for second (after Mook had lapped the field a couple times)....and i remember picking 3 games against his picks i think thinking i could win 2 and grab the silver metal. i believe it came down to ATM at Tech and S took ATM and i took Tech at home. such drama.

3 of the last 4 years in 2nd place. the other Seer and I tied (which technically is 3rd). i'm still lobbying for an IU keychain or something for 2nd place....

change my handle to Marv Levy maybe.

Isn't moon from the GWN? Nice work.

My inflated score was helped by some of the tricked up weeks but I finished ahead of Shine. Moral victory....
