Or has this been the best Thursday and Friday in conference tournament games in years?
"Overtime/upset Thursday" followed by tOSU beating aTM and probably the best game so far in G'Town and ND. Not to mention NCSU's comeback, Nevada losing, and Baylor taking Texas to the woodshed.
Holy fuck, are you kidding me? My remote hasn't had this much of a workout since I don't know when.
If the last two days are any indication, this year's tournament is going to be fantastic.

Stew Morrill the coach at NMSU was up here at CSU for awhile. he's an underrated coach. they beat somebody in the Dance in 00 or 01. forget who.

I watch, but I don't much care for the conference tournaments. It's unsettling to think an average or sub .500 team can make it to the dance by winning a few games in a row, thereby knocking out somebody else who played much better over the course of the entire season, and quite realistically, deserves to be there more. Anybody can get hot and rip off a few wins in a row, but I don't see how a small fraction of success can out weight an entire season's worth of results.
Agree, MGO. I've enjoyed the living poo out of the games, but c'mon...
The PAC10 tournie is the biggest joke of them all. Just for the sake of discussion...what if Arizona State got crazy hot for some unforseen reason, ran off 4 in a row, and was crowned the PAC10 Champion. They won all of two freaking conference games. They would have sucked just as badly in D2 ball.
Oregon State won 3 conference games, and has at least a small measure of talent, enough that a blind squirrel could have found a couple of nuts.
Oregon...well, they've had it rolling before, and it wasn't that big a reach/injustice to be the "kings for a day" in-conference.#4 Seed in a hotly contested conference winning isn't a travesty. The almost-real possibility of #9 winning is a joke. UCLA had one bad game in an otherwise-bitchin season, and they're kinda fucked.
But, I guess it makes it a little more like football in that regard -- win your games, and you have nothing to worry about, so STFU and ball.
Time to wrap up the Combine For the NCAA Tourney, and GAME ON! Me loves me some March Madness, and it's not too often I have a dog in the fight(although of the non-thursday/saturday night playing teams, I've always had a soft spot for UNC. Dean was The Man. Thursdays and saturdays belong to the PAC, though."
Let's get it on...I'm ready. Time to separate the men from the boys.

I got 99 problems but the 'vid ain't one
Don't get me wrong ... the conference tournament games are nothing compared to the NCAA tournament -- and yeah, I am FREAKING JACKED TODAY.
In fact, usually the conference tournament games suck, but Thursday and Friday were unusual in that the games were much closer than usual. My expectations of these conference games have fallen prelly low the last few years. It was nice to see some decent games.
Btw, I took off work Thursday-Sunday. The first and second rounds of the tournament are the four best consecutive days in sports, imo.
