Not to go FTDC on you guys but...

I very rarely eat fast food burgers. Don't get me wrong, my history is such that it's led to the consumption of thousands of them.
I've had my lifetime allotment, I think. Not terribly down these days. Give me a burrito or something for an on-the-go/in-the-field lunch. Or a tavern burger, the worst of which is as good as the best fast-food burg....and taverns serve beer, last time I checked, which makes it a vastly superior option.
Because that is how I roll(in certain professional company, anyway).
I've never heard of Culver's, but I'll bet it kills any national chain, just from what you posted, Goobs. If I'm ever unfortunate enough to be in the Midwest, I'll go all Atomic Punk and keep an eye out for it.
I think I might have had an In-N-Out once, but if so, it was during a "hey, I'm on an out-of-state roady" bender, and I don't remember details.
Because californians ain't so bad when I get my drunk obnoxious on.

If you ever hit a Culver’s, be sure to order the double burgers. Their burgers are quite thin, and they put a nice browning on them, but it takes two of them to make a decent sammich. Not only does Culver’s make outstanding burgers, they make their own frozen custard on site. Damn fine shakes and malts to be had as well.
They've gotten as far west as Colorado.

We had a Culver's in McKinney, TX where I lived. I went there once. I wish I had gone back many a time. They do have good burgers. They advertise them as "butter burgers". I guess that means they load the grill up with butter when they cook them? In any case, they are top notch fast food burgers.
My wife is a french fry enthusiast too and she loves their fries as crinkle fries are her favorite. Didn't have their shakes, but they are probably pretty good too. Culver's reminds me a lot of Steak N Shake, which I also think is pretty deece.

Hell. I don't know. I looked up the trademark and it doesn't say much.

They call them butterburgers because they butter the buns. I’ve been to Steak ‘N’ Shake, and I thought they made a decent burger, though I prefer the flavor of Culver’s. The frozen custard would definitely give Culver’s the edge.

I've seen the butterburger bill boards and have been intrigued. I'll have to check it out next time I am in the Bend.
