ROME
on hbo, any fans? excellent show like a 22 hr epic movie. I highly recommend it, if for nothing else the boobies! :D :D :D :D
I enjoyed Rome immensely. Both HBO and the BBC really crafted a compelling treatment of the Caesar era.
I wish they'd have renewed the series. I understand that it was incredibly expensive to film.

LOVE Rome and everything about it. Lots of hot men as well as ladies!
I had a major crush on Titus Pullo. He was my FAVORITE character. I really feel like he and Verenus were the main stars since they had a connection to every other character in the series.
Good sex scenes too. ;)
Too bad the show's over.

That was actually the basis of the show when they created it. "A saga of two ordinary Roman soldiers who unwittingly become entwined in the historical events of Ancient Rome".patsy stone wrote:I really feel like he and Verenus were the main stars since they had a connection to every other character in the series.
They couldn't have chose two better actors for the job, as far as I'm concerned. Pullo could do no wrong, and Kevin McKidd's "Vorenus" was brilliant! (anyone see "Dog Soldiers"?)
I was hoping they'd stretch the series out a little longer, maybe fast forward about 60 years and capture the rise of "Caligula"?
They could've had a show based entirely on THAT mind-fuck alone.
