RACK

The most overrated author ever.

Good riddance. Unrack me for not having his deconstructivist sorry ass in the death pool.

No, that would be Gustav Flaubert. Or were you never forced to suffer through Madame Bovary? Vonnegut, like 88 said, could make you crack a smile while he was spinning his yarns.

Kilgore Trout's most recent death was in 2004 ... but oddly enough, they both died at age 84.

That would be me. :)

No bonus, though. I had it as heart failure. Apparently it was ambulation failure. Tripped and fell died of brain damage.

I'll go ahead and pass on Fox News' commentary on Vonnegut.

I remember a thread in which RtS was mewling about Vonnegut, until someone linked up one of his anti-war commentaries...you would have thought RtS had dropped his percs in the toilet or something...

I saw that the day it aired. "Vonnegut was a crazy liberal with crazy liberal views" as if that was the summation of his life. Gotta love Fox "News".

I read Breakfast of Champions and Slaughterhouse 5. Both were good, but for different reasons. B of C was pretty humorous, especially the artwork. I plan to read Cat's Cradle sometime in the next few years.
