I believe the "no canned corn" rule stems from a can of corn with a bunch of holes punched in it being such wonderful chum. I don't think the problem is with the canned corn itself, but with the cans ending up in the water. Chumming is illegal, except in the ocean, I believe.
It's also illegal to kick the head off a rattlesnake in Kalamath Falls-btw. So much for this weekend's plans.
