US military introduces robot bears

This is exactly what they should be spending money on. Bravo.

Gary Gilbert, from the US Army's Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Centre in Frederick, Maryland, said that the teddy bear appearance was deliberate.

Right. We'd be much better off funneling hundreds of millions into paying for the lavish luxury of some faux ruling family that serves no real purpose.

Like we don't do the same thing?

Ironic... coming from a pathetic cunt whose sole contribution to the board is limited to his mastery of the Image button. Better a recycle image than a takeless online newspaper that is best used lining the bottom of a gorilla's cage. Perhaps if the inside of your cocksucker didn't look like a miniature version of Stonehenge, other posters wouldn't bag on you so much.

Where can I buy one of those? My daughter wants one for her birthday?

Your daughter wants a shitty “take” for her birthday? I’m sure you can manage that.

I don't recall anyone saying that Bush 41 or Ronnie Rayguns cheated in their election races. Do you? If it was, it was a VERY small minority of what one would call liberal opinion.

More like example 1 of why you are a fucking retard. The point is that Bush has become superfluous. The last GOP debate should have told you that. And if that wasn't enough, the firestorm over Bush's amnesty program should nail it down for you. He's fucking dead weight.

Yeah, he's willing to give amnesty to 12 million wetbacks but what about Scooter, a true American hero?

Still hung up on semantics eh?

Since a simple joke flies over your head, I'm guessing pointing out the millions upon millions of dollars we taxpayers shell out every year to former Presidents and their spouses in the form of pensions, SS protection, office staff and support for Presidential libraries would just serve to utterly baffle you.

The Queen performs the ceremonial duties of a Head of State. While one can quibble over the relative importance of said duties, it is more than the absolutely nothing our multimillionaire ex-Presidents do while receiving their pensions.

In other words, she does nothing and gets paid hundreds of millions of dollars, which was the original point. Couldn't we have gotten to this point about 7 posts ago?

Actually, the Civil List payments are in the neighborhood of 8 million pounds a year. Most of the money is spent on staff salaries. As places like Windsor Castle and Buckingham Palace are well known revenue producing tourist attractions, it could be argued that at least that money is going towards something of benefit. Whereas I know of nobody traveling to Houston to visit George H.W. Bush's home.

Even if that were true, and it's not, (see Clitnon trying to bilk the treasury for the time he spends on a cellphone)... SO WHAT? You want we should treat them like the NFL players union treats former players? I don't think so.

I don't have a problem with former CINC's being taken care of for life. They fucking earned it having to listen to sniveling dipshits for the 4 or 8 years they served.

Wrong as always. The main role of the Royal Family is to bilk as much not-worth-as-much-as-it-used-to-be tourist dollar off ignorant mongs like you. They have as much influence on our political system as Jimmy Osmond has on yours.
