Er, you mean how OU self-reported the training staff giving out sports drinks that were perfectly legal for the players to use but not for the school to give out?

And how those drinks weren't the perfectly-legal-to-give-out drinks that had been ordered but had been sent in error by the company-something the company admitted in a formal letter?

Jesus, man. You guys are really desperate down there. That TOTALLY rises to the same level as a child molester prowling the sidelines.
Yeah. It is amazing how problem at OU is someone else's mistake. Like Bomar.....it was the Car dealership that was overpaying him.....like Peterson.....it was the Car dealership that ws giving him a Lexus to drive for 4 months while "decided" if he could afford it. Like the MMA artist who beat 2 kids almost to death. Now the supplements. Right, they wrote a letter after they were caught. So if they had not been caught would they have written the letter??
I drove a new car for almost twice as long as Adrian did from BRI before purchasing it. It was the first NEW car I ever purchased. This policy is exactly why they are so successful with the college kids and Average Joes. They have also always been very helpful and flexible as far as financing.

Oklahoma reported itself. Wasn't Texas, Texas Tech, and Texas A&M all accussed of this last off season? Texas had purchasing the banned substances for 3 1/2 years but as we all know by now on this board Oklahoma and Texas are held to different standards. When OU is guilty of a one time mistake that was just as much attributable to the company they were doing business with for delivering the wrong product but texass has no concern with their program knowingly doing so for 3 1/2 years.

There is no spin on a child molester. I think that is the most disgusting thing a human can do, well except maybe be an OU fan . Did he do it while he was at UT??? No. He was accused of the crime in 1999. If I am not mistaken, has he been convicted of a crime? If he did it he should be locked up and they should throw away the key.

All the stuff I talked about OU happened while these guys were under the control of the University. How would you know if a guy had done this? It's not like the coaches were showing up to his house and he was like...."I like to stunt on this play to get to the QB and when I am there I want to molest him like a 6 year old." He was also heavily recruited by OU. So what does that mean?
The case is still pending.

Every major D1A program runs a background check of all atheletes...

Yet he still had an offer on the table from OU. So if your theory is correct, they knew about it? If it didn't come out until 2006, after he was gone from the school and it happened 4 years before he enrolled, how is UT responsible?? It is one thing if it happened while he was a student athlete at Texas and the school did nothing about it. That didn't happen in this instance. The kid did something when he was 13-14 years old. I don't condone it in fact it sickens me that anyone would do this to a child. But to say he was a molester, while at UT is bullshit.

If Marco was a child Molester why is he now a teacher and coach at Skyline high school?

Now lets talk about Lynn McGruder, a known drug dealer who was kicked off a SEC team only to be welcomed to blOwU with open arms and probably stoops open legs.

you have a real fascination with man sex Vito. Pricks, ass. it's quite interesting.

you are also the author of the greatest hypocritical moment in board history (since i started reading the Rome Board about 99).

how you whined about the board beating down Vince Young for his 6 wunderlic. it was "unsubstantiated", you cried like a little bitch. it was unfair to criticize a player without proof.

but Adrian Peterson is selling crack.

you are an idiot and a hypocrite, Bill. i don't care which team you root for. you are lame joke with all yer "my sources" bullshit, which unsurprisingly are always wrong.

do you really want to go the Lynn McGruder route?

Lynne McGruder wasn't a a drug dealer. He grew some pot plants in his dorm room. That's it. He was charged with distrubution, charges that were latter dropped for possesion charges.

Lynne McGruder since that day has been a model citizen. Works with youth groups in three different States (Oklahoma, Florida, and Nevada) keeping them away from gangs and drugs. There is also one family from southern Oklahoma who is particuraly thankful that Lynne was brought to Oklahoma, especially since he and Mark Clayton saved their lives by charging into a burning van off the side of I-35 between the Texass state line and Norman and yanked the entire family out before the van, a mother, father, and three children were consumed in flames!!!!

I for one am damn fucking proud that a man like Lynne McGruder is a Sooner!!!! And God bless his soul!!!!!!

The van was engulffed in flames!!! No I don't believe that just anyone would repeatedly rush into a burning vehicle, spend upward of three minutes litterally yanking a sliding door off itsd hinges, likely to explode, to save people they didn't know. Many would but many would not. What he did was put his own life at great risk to save others. You can make lite of it all you want but that is a Hero just the same as any fire fighter or police officer in my book!!!

note the final paragraph about McGruder. what a criminal. nice try UT fan.

Former Sooners Mark Clayton and Lynn McGruder received this award in 2004, the only duo to share the award in conference history. They were honored following their heroic actions in June 2003. After witnessing a fatal three car accident on Interstate 35, the teammates stopped at the scene and began assisting the victims, pulling people from the wreckage and leading this to safety, prior to the arrival of emergency personnel.

nice try horn. maybe go back to the "everyone cheats to keep up with Texas" fantasy circle-jerk bullshit you have going.

He got a swcond chance and made the most of it. He also gave a family a second chance. Very nice and that is great.

But.... he still was caught with 7 bags of dope and baggies to sell....

McGruder released on $5,000 bail
Associated Press

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- A Tennessee defensive tackle arrested on drug charges was free on bond Saturday, but he remained suspended from the team.

Lynn McGruder was charged Friday with the manufacture, delivery and sale of drugs, Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Martha Dooley said. He was later released on $5,000 bail.

Coach Phillip Fulmer said he planned to talk with the sophomore over the weekend.

"I'm trying to find out what happened. I need to visit with him," Fulmer said Saturday. "There is nothing else I can say until I see him and see a police report and talk with officials and the university."

The arrest came after a Gibbs Hall dormitory official smelled what he thought was marijuana after going to McGruder's room because of a fire call, Dooley said. The dorm official alerted university officials, who searched the room.

They found seven bags of a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana, a postal scale, a box of small plastic bags and a shoe box that contained a bag of seeds, Dooley said.

McGruder, of Las Vegas, had six tackles and one sack in 10 games as mostly a reserve last season.

He will remain suspended until further notice. Fulmer said future disciplinary action will be determined by university policy as well as his own assessment.

"I do take things individually. It depends on the circumstances," he said. "This is very serious."

Bottom line was he was selling weed. Did he get convicted? No. He got busted for possession. I am still trying to figure out how you can have 7 bags of weed, baggies and a scale and get caught and not get a possession with intent to distribute.

that's a pretty ironic statement. look at your own avatar. don't cry because all you and Vito can do is defend your program by accusing others. i would not get too ahead of yourself about marijuana and moralizing players. i personally don't care, but it seems to matter to you when you think it's moral invective against OU.

I accuse? Please....show me where. Vito, definetly, but please...show me where I make false statements about OU players. I state facts. Please, show me where I have made a false statement and wrongly accused an OU player, former or current of anything that was not backed up by a news article or link.

What's wrong with my avatar? I thought it was pretty cool. ;)

A single good deed doesn't make Mcgruder a good citizen, even Saddam did nice things for some of his people. Ricky Williams was a great role model when he was in Austin, he often donated his time to helping less fortunate kids, but that doesn't make him any less of a dope head now.

you are still the biggest hypocrite on the board, i told you why. you never post about ANYTHING but blowing Texas and baseless slam jobs at OU.

McGruder=Saddam. you are an artist with analogies like that. if McGruder played for UT he'd be the poster child of how great Mack is....and the second chance awesomeness that is MACK BROWN FOOTBALL.

Rack...

Texass has always conveinantly ignored Darrel Royal being put on probation not once but twice while slamming and degrading Barry Switzer for the same thing. A t least we have more national titles to show for his tenure. Texassfan is the first to nail Bomar and Quinn for violating rules and blasting Dusty Dvorcek for getting into a bar fight between friends whose families still vacation together to this very day despite the incident. This all while Texass has had no fewer than 14 arrests over the last 24 months for criminal offenses ranging from assualt (at least 3 counts), multiple drug charges, robbery, and even sexual assualt!!! Has Oklahoma had a sordid history with the nCAA, of course it has. Texass is by no means a "clean" program by any strech of the imagination. Their recent history of criminal activity is every bit as out of controll as Oklahoma and Miami were in the late 1980s!!! The difference is that both institutions have cleaned up their acts for the most part while Longhorn player is still running around Travis County robbing college students on 6th street days before national title, threatning patrons of night clubs that they aren't even legal to get into with weapons that are against the law, [hyperbole]more marijuana charges than the Border patrol puts together in Brownsville per annum [/hyperboyle].

They also love to ignore tha fact that the same year OU started being investigated for its transgressions in 1987 they were hit with at least 63 NCAA violations, 7 of them being considered "major" offenses, and were put on probation as well!!!! When OU was nailed with much stiffer penalties the next year we were hit with only 16 viloations and only 2 of those were considered "major" violations. But hey all of us on the board realize that Texass is as clean as a babies backside and that OU is the dirtiest program to ever exisist.... :meds:  :hfal:

Let's lighten thangs up, shall we?

3 Football Fans

Three football fans were on their way to a game when one noticed a foot sticking out of the bushes by the side of the road.

They stopped and discovered a nude female, dead drunk.

Out of respect and propriety, the Nebraska fan took off his cap and placed it over her right breast.

The Oklahoma fan took off his cap and placed it over her left breast.

Following their lead, the Texas fan took off his cap and placed it over her crotch.

The police were called and when the officer arrived, he conducted his inspection.

First, he lifted up the Husker's cap, replaced it and wrote down some notes.

Next, he lifted the Okkie's cap, replaced it and wrote down some more notes.

The officer then lifted the Texas cap, replaced it, then lifted it again, replaced it, lifted it a third time, and replaced it one last time.

The Texas fan was getting upset and finally asked, "What are you? A pervert or something? Why do you keep lifting and looking, lifting and looking?

"Well," said the officer. "I'm confused; normally when I look under a Texas hat, I find an asshole."

As much as it pains me to give Husker fans any ammo, in the interest of full disclosure, it should be noted that a major scandal was recently uncovered at CU, resulting in probation and a hefty fine.

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/news/story?id=2911946

Thanks god the NCAA is cracking down on this stuff. I'm embarassed beyond words to see such a horrible scandal unfold at my alma mater. I'll just never see the CU women's soccer team in the same light.

Thanks god the NCAA is cracking down on this stuff. I'm embarassed beyond words to see such a horrible scandal unfold at my alma mater. I'll just never see the CU women's soccer team in the same light.
i wonder how many 50 dollar martini lunches at Dolan's CU paid for Dick Tharp's credit card lifestyle? punishing the student athletes is so stupid.

Harv I really hope this post was tongue and cheek. If not you have officially reached Vito/Moron status, have lost any credibilty with me, and after I am finished with this post probably most of the board.

Stoops' investment of just under $500 (the report of $500 is a rounded figure) was for a "franchise" where Mr. Stoops, Mr. John Doe, or Mr. Billy Bumfuck could sell legally licensed copyrighted material online for download through his own personal site. Being in the top ring of "investors" also allowed him to sell other franchises to people (mostly random people who use your personal site already) where he would receive a percentage of their net proceeds.

Over a 600,000 people in America have made the same investment and over 2 million more have made less significant investment just for their own "store" instead of a "franchise".

My father, my sister, future brother in law, and 4 of my colleagues all made the same investment Mr. Stoops did in the same company. My family members, nor Mr. Stoops, are running a pyramid scam. It is more likely he lost money the same way many of my family members did in this joke of a company that was all flash and no substance (I tried to warn my family members that I thought this was a very poor choice for their investment capital but hey what do I know, I'm only big brother and the only finacially stable one of the group... I wonder why... ).

I attended one of BurnLounges little showcases when the company was just starting up... I left at the first break. I had heard enough. Personally I thought it was a very poor business model where a few would get rich quick and the rest would lose their ass over a period of half a decade. The hour I spent there seemed like a worship sesion for their demigod founder of the company and regional supervisor (the one in my area was from Louisville, Kentucky I believe). It was two hours of my life I will never get back (1 hour of sitting and another hour for the round trip drive to Sand Destin) and I was even more pissed that I missed my regular poker game for that nonsense. Out of everyone I know who owns a BLDS only one has made a profit and that was because they were able to sell a number of "franchises" and "stores" to friends and family.

If anything Bob Stoops is one of the victims of this download scheme, not one of the purpetrators. I don't know the legalities of the issue (maybe we can get 88 or one of the other posters who is more familiar with the law in this instance than I am to comment) but I tend to think that Mr. Stoops and in turn my family members may have a case for a law suit against Burn Lounge to recover their monies.

I expect flash in the pants reporting from the idiots at the DOK but unfortunatly for you I hold the posters on this board to a higher standard than those frauds for journalists. Next time before popping off from your pie taster because of information from the virulent, foaming at the mouth fans for Bob Stoops, at Orangebloods.com or some other burnt orange sunglass circle jerk you should explore what the facts behind an issue are before coming into the forum to get your ass handed to you by SoonerFan (i.e. Me).

Maybe this has shed some light into your dim afterbirth Orange world.

That is their M.O. though. What else would they have if not that defense mechanism?

Geez..you guys are so sensitive. Handing my ass to me? You really do have a high self esteem. Stoops invested in a pyramid scheme. How stoopid is that? (I know how to spell stupid, it is a play on your coaches last name, Stoops) I mean, that is fine if you are Joe Bluecollar and you think that you might get rich, but for a guy making over 2 million a year, why would he do that? The article was a post more to make a joke but evidently you think it is an intrusion into the Sooner nation. Hey, it is what it is. YOur local fishwrap reported it. So, from now on when anyone posts a link to NOK, it is total bullshit because those guys do not report that truth. Your head coach lost $500 bucks. BFD.

You'll never see me link the DOK unless it is pertaining to the Hornets or Sonics and that is different forum.

It isn't my local fishwrap either, hence the name suncoastsooner, not much "coast" in Oklahoma last I checked... I went to college at OU; I am not from Oklahoma, I don't live there now, nor will I ever if I have any say in the matter. Quite frankly I spent enough of my life in both Oklahoma and Texass to ever be forced into living in either one again. Just my preference, it may be the life for someone else, just not me. Doesn't change my affinity for my alma mater or the San Antonio Spurs I just didn't enjoy the lifestyles in either place. I am an east coaster plain and simple. I've lived most of my life and virtually all of my adult life on the east coast. The home I live in now is the longest I have ever been in a single domcile in my entire life (military brat).

Your statement leaves no room for interpretation. You were obviously trying to make a case that Oklahoma has a dirty program based on a bad business decsion by Mr. Stoops in his private life not Coach Stoops of the University of Oklahoma. That would be why you made the statement...

You can be book smart and lack a common business sense. I work in the Medical field and I am always shocked at how smart these guys and girls are but they have ZERO business sense. You can put a turd in a box and put a bow on it and call it a present but when you open it, it is still a turd in a box. A pyramid scheme is a pyramid scheme. I hope your dad hasn't been contacted by that guy from Nigeria who needs to transfer 11,000,000 to an account. Maybe he should try Coach Stoops. He is always eager to a make a few bucks.

The Donald is a very good business man. He did go bankrupt and then made billions. That in itself is impressive. I doubt he did it by a pyramid scheme or coaching a football team.

I don't think neither my father or Coach Stoops intended on getting rich off of BL but just possibly some added income. My father is pretty business savy in all reality. It isn't often he loses capital. He just chose a dud. There isn't a business man alive who has always been 100% correct 100% of the time. The Way BL marketed its system was very misleading.
