This is one of my favorite races of the year. I believe I'll blog it because I have no life. Actually, I could've gone to watch the midgets run at Lakeside tonight as wifey got some free tickets. Tough decision. Daytona or the Lakeside midgets. So here I am with the house to myself as wifey luvs the midgets, and I luv Daytona.

Some things of note so far. This is first race ever at Daytona that didn't have qualifying. Should be a crapshoot due to that. Also, this will be the last restrictor plate race that doesn't use the CoT. Not sure if that's a good or a bad thing.

Sucks Petty is in the booth instead of on the track. Andretti has brought the team from 27th in points to 34th in the past month.

Last time I checked, the #11 was carrying the Gibbs team this year.

Isn't it about time for the #44 to blow another engine- he normally blows up by now

It was only a matter of time before the #42 got into somebody tonight. He was all over the place in Busch race today. For all the beating and banging, there are still 35 on the lead lap- so a lot of crazy shit can still happen tonight.

Any of you guys watching on Hot Pass?

DirecTV is doing a free preview of Hot Pass this weekend and I am fucking overdosing on this shit. I'm not sure if I'm ready to throw the money for the rest of the season, just because I'm going to be going into all out NFL mode in a couple of months AND they only show 5 drivers. But if your guy is one of the 5, there is no better way to watch the race.

BTW: I should be picking up about 400 points on Team Q.

Oh my, what a finish. That was freaking awesome. Had to be the closest finish ever.

Rack Jamie, the Joplin Missouri boy, for saving us from a Busch ugly mug winning, and Rack Carl Edwards, the Columbia Missouri boy, for helping to push him towards the win.

I've never been so pleased to see a Ford get over, and I'm not regretting my decision to not go watch the midgets tonite.

Yea, rack McMurray for getting over on Gordon. He pushed him to the front and then kicked his ass on the restart. Not that the finish bothers me too much. I'm still sitting here amazed that Gordon was able to drive that piece of shit he had to a 5th place finish. This race was a classic example of why Jeff Gordon and not Denny Hamlin is leading the points race. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY can get up on the wheel like Jeff Gordon.

K~Y drove his ass off [according to the talking heads...yes, he Did]....but, with MacMurray coming back from the penalty...what a HUGE Win.

The announcers were trying to drum up a controversy about Kyle not winning tonight possibly being Kurts fault. They admitted Kyle drove like a freak, but still don't rub on the Busch brothers the way they do Stewart. Q, you put it well about Tony being an ASS. I still don't get why he's not being called on it. If it were the Busch brothers acting like him they would be taken to the woodshed over it. Over and over. These announcers are mostly annoying country bumpkins so I'm taking it with a grain of salt. Considering the source.

Oh, I'm not a beer connoisseur and prefer a domestic light over any beer, it could be any of the major ones, they are all the same to me. I know that's not popular here. But Kurt didn't win me over with his commercial tonight. Something tells me he hates that beer. No real enthusiasm exuding from him over it.

RACK to McMurray for pulling that one out. Stewart's interview after the wreck was real weak. I'm surprised so many people like that guy with all of whining that he does. Kenseth seemed to have a good car, but I couldn't understand why he would break the draft line and go high so much.
