ND getting whipped in South Bend
I thought G-Tech had a solid shot at taking this one but didn't extect them to dominate like this. I thought the Irish would go 8-4, now I don't know. Weise has a lot of replacing to do this year so you gotta cut him some slack but they gotta play better than this or grumbles will be coming.
You gonna bark all day little doggie or are you gonna bite?
gotta love how all NBC cameramen are under direct orders to only shoot charlie from the waist up. what a disgusting glob of shit.
oh, how did that "i'm not in the business of giving out information to opponents" work out for you, charlie? oh, you can't outcoach chan gailey?
and for the record, notre lame stadium's environment is about as stale and non-intimidating as michigan stadium. no wonder msu has won five straght there: NO FUCKING HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE.

I knew their offense would be a big problem, but Choice ran all over them today.Killian wrote:Did you watch the game? Their defense wasn't the problem, their offense was
Good teams keep the game close even if the offense is struggling. Notre Dame never had a chance by giving up 260 yards on the ground. Just brutal.

Why is it suspect trixie? The O-line looked horrible, the defense was put in very bad situations. He can't coach turnovers, missed opportunities, missed open receivers, missed blocks....that's not CW's fault. Blame the O-line coach etc.....and yes it does fall on him but they were outplayed not out coached.

Completely ill-prepared...

We got our asses handed to us on both sides of the line of scrimmage today.
If we don't get better fast, this has the makings of a long season.
This is our first 3-game losing streak since the end of the '04 season.

Idiot, if you understood football #1 I'd shit my pants. ND has to run the ball. Young inexperienced QB's. What the fuck are you going to do, throw it 50 times? They couldn't pass block. I blame the O-line coach. Weis coaches the QB's you fuck stick. Latina coaches the O-line and they looked like shit today so if the QB is getting his ass handed to him (you're familiar with that everytime you type something) then you try and run the ball. The problem with the O-line today was that they looked very slow and confused. That's the O-line coach, not the head coach. The defense looked a lot better in spots but with turnovers from the offense they were put in piss poor situations. It's ayear when ND will go .500 and ass hats like you will think they're experts because you'll claim they suck and Weis is overrated. Most realistic ND fans know this team is at least a year away from really making an impact. You on the other hand are light years away from making any sense.
Weis is ULTIMATELY responsible for wins and losses. Putting this on the o-line coach. That is pussy and if you weren't going at it with T REX most on this board would be calling you out....O line coach????Laxplayer wrote:Idiot, if you understood football #1 I'd shit my pants. I have to admit, I'm curious to see how Irish fan handles this. If Ty Willingham had been coaching ND today, we'd all be hearing about how shitty of a coach he is, etc. Is Weis held to the same standards? How long is HIS grace period? I'm not a Notre Dame hater at all. I just don't think Weis is as good a coach as ND fan makes him out to be and I don't think Willingham was as BAD as ND fan makes him out to be.

We beg to differ.Screw_Michigan wrote:and for the record, notre lame stadium's environment is about as stale and non-intimidating as michigan stadium. no wonder msu has won five straght there: NO FUCKING HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE.
Sin,
Purdue
A comparison between the series involving those two programs is particularly illustrative here:
ND vs. Michigan State: Visiting team has won six straight and nine of 11 since '94.
ND vs. Purdue: Home team has won eight of 11 since '96.
Since ND and Michigan State were on hiatus in '95 and '96, let's be completely fair and limit our discussion to the time period from '97 to '06. That gives us exactly ten seasons, and Purdue and Michigan State were both on ND's schedule for every one of those seasons. Each team had five home and five away games vs. ND in that time period.
ND vs. Michigan State: Visiting team 8-2 (two home wins both by Michigan State).
ND vs. Purdue: Home team 7-3 (two of three road wins by ND).
There's actually a pretty simple explanation for this apparent contradiction. Purdue and Michigan State are staggered on ND's schedule. In even years, Purdue is a home game and Michigan State a road game for ND. In odd years, Michigan State is a home game and Purdue is a road game for ND.
Over the last decade, for some reason ND typically has had much better teams in even years than in odd years:
Even years:
1998: 9-3
2000: 9-3
2002: 10-3
2004: 6-6
2006: 10-3
Combined record: 44-18.
Odd years:
1997: 7-6
1999: 5-7
2001: 5-6
2003: 5-7
2005: 9-3
Combined record: 31-29.

Looks like that trend is likely to continue for at least one more year.Terry in Crapchester wrote:Over the last decade, for some reason ND typically has had much better teams in even years than in odd years:
