Week 1 Bet Against The Bookie
For those who remember zilla running this last season, he don't have the motivation this season. So for those interested in playing i'm taking it over with his assistance I hope......
ALL BETS ARE FOR FUN, NO REAL MONEY IS INVOLVED!!!
For those who don’t know how it works, I’ll try to explain it the best I can. Bookies don’t care what NFL team wins in a particular game. They want 50% of the gamblers money on one team and the other 50% on the other team. Bookies make their money 10% off the gamblers that lose. When the bets start favoring one side, the line will move in attempt to keep the money 50-50 for both teams.
Example:
Two players bet on the same game, but pick opposite of each other. Say both players bet $110 to win $100. The Bookie is now holding $220 the Bookies don't care what players win because he knows that he only has to pay out $210 to the winner. Seems small, but when thousands of dollars are bet on a game 10% adds up! I’m not sure if Bookie percentages have changed over the years, but for easy math we will stick with the 10%
BTW…A push is a push and the player gets all of his/her money back, neither the bookie nor the player wins.
You can bet zero to 3 games, no penalty for missing a week.
To make math easy for me, all bets must be made in any of the following amounts…
$11, $22, $33, $44, $55, $66, $77, $88, $99
You can’t bet over a total of $100 per week unless you have more than $100 in your account. Right now everyone’s account is zero.
($11 to win $10) ($22 – $20) ($33 – $30) ($44 - $40) ($55 - $50) ($66 – 60) ($77 – $70) ($88 - $80) ($99 - $90)
Make picks like this…
Example:
TB –1 ($11)
DET +2 ($55)
Total Wager $66
The pool will close at the start of the early games on Sunday.
