Sixteen hours to kickoff, Rumps, and I'm feeling pretty good about the Chiefs this evening.

While it's all the rage to knock on Huard these days, I'd like to hear exactly what makes you so certain guys named Schaub and Green will be up to the task tomorrow.

I can point to one play.
Yeah, I know it was preseason and it doesn't mean squat, but playing Dallas is playing Dallas.
Texans were in a 1 back 3 receiver set. Schaub took the ball under center at the Dallas 19 and made a standard 5 step drop. The Cowboys blitzed up the middle which allowed the left side of the d-line to get free rather quickly and applied pressure on Schaub. Sensing the pressure without looking over his shoulder, Schaub scrambled out to the right to allow himself a couple of more seconds to throw. He spotted Jacoby Jones deep in the corner of the endzone and threw a perfect strike on the run to the only location where Jones could make the reception and stay in bounds.
That play last year would have resulted in either a sack, fumble, or a 2 yard scramble out of bounds with Carr behind center. Schaub kept his poise in a very quck collapsing pocket and adjusted accordingly to make a big play. That is why I feel confident about Schaub.
Last year, the Texans managed to go 6-10 without a consistent passing game and a subpar running game with no threat at all of a receiver out of the backfield. The Texans run blocking was at its best the last 2 games of the season albeit against Indy and Cleveland, but the fact that they ran at will with Ron Dayne and Wali Lundy made me think how much our running game could improve with a durable and athletic runner. Green is older, yes, but he is in the best condition of his playing career and the 41 yarder he ripped off against Dallas was lacking big time in the Texans running game a year ago. Green has always been above average out of the backfield as a receiver and is a definite upgrade over Dayne and Lundy as a runner.
I would love for the Texans to have their first winning season in franchise history , but I will settle for 8-8 this year.
I'll be sitting in the bullpen (endzone 10 rows up) at the game tomorrow, so win or lose the sig bet, Orc, I will be intoxicated and having a great time screaming at the top of my lungs supporting our Houston football team on Liberty White day. Rack the motherfucking football season.

I think KC is making the right decision by going with Huard right now.

I think pops is spot on. Charger cast off OLT Damion McIntosh at 80-90%, the KC passing game is a train wreck, which will allow Houston to play stop the run first. Larry Johnson is not in game shape, and is likely to struggle. Behind him on the bench is...........well, not much. Kansas City tosses a stink bomb to begin the Year of Herm Edwards’ discontent.
