Patriots/Jets
Brady had ALL day to throw the ball
Moss - 9 grabs, 183yds & 1 touch
Ground game was more than effective
Liked what I saw except for the Jets fans cheering Pennington's injury - reminds me of why I dislike NY sports fans in general - no class even toward their own players.

Th,
Only saw like 5 minutes of this game, but from that and watching the highlights, I get the impression that Randy could really go the distance to help this team back over the hump, if he buys into BB's system. It goes to figure that if you've got this TALL, quick receiver opening up the outside, then it will open up the inside game exponentially as well; as this is a little used (whether real or imagined) facet of the N.E. offense. Just having that threat to burn you deep, will back the safeties off several yards, and give Morris & Maroney all kinds of room to run on the inside. If it works, the Pat's are going to be dangerous as hell.
Hell, the 108 yd burner that Hobbs turned in was pretty sweet too.
And, what the fuck was that, where Randy was talking to reporters after the game; could he have changed??? Am I supposed to buy into this:
"I was nervous before the game....", and "things are different now, because this is the best team I've played for, and the best coach...."
I'm still pretty skeptical on how this all is gonna end, but he's certainly saying and doing all the right things right now, for the time being anyway.

I bet you are right Neely but if not the Patriots should get docked the 'W' for the Jets game. But hey wait a minute, didn't the league let it slide when the Jets tampered with the Patriots/Deion Branch negotiations a couple years ago? I call it a wash.

Huge fine and loss of picks.....OUCH!
Not worried. The Pats only kept 2 of their 10 or so picks this year anyway. I feel dirty in some regards. I am sure that other teams do things like this. See the Miami Dolphins paying cash money last year for a video of Brady with audio of check offs. I am however disappointed that it was my team to do it. They will take the punishment and move on. As a fan I will do the same......

Way to woman up, girl. It's always been known to the rest of the country that New England is no place for real, honest to goodness football. Probably why the Kennedy's were so fond of flag football.
Yeah I will live with what the league hands down as punishment for the team I root for. That too hard for you to understand shit stain? You gave up on the Chargers so who are you rooting for now? Whoever plays the Boston team I know. One trick Todd is back on the beat.....

They had everyone fooled that's for sure. I guess we now know how a team stocked with marginally talented "team players" and "chemistry guys" can be so competitive in the NFL: They cheat 24/7.
Good job, dickbags.
Keep believing that. Your stupider then I thought.
So if it is so obvious please explain how it gives them an advantage? In the 45 or so seconds between plays do you honestly think they have time to read the call, signal to their coaches, signal to the offense, call the play, get up to the line, and snap the ball? Damn they are pretty fucking good if so. What about when the defense audibles? Do they call a timeout because they can't handle that?
I really can't figure out why they would do it. It just doesn't seem like it would/could work. Defenses change up all the time based on how the offense lines up and vice versa.
Do you for a second think that other teams including your own don't look for an advantage in any way possible? See Shawn Merriman as an example. The only ones we hear about are the ones who get caught. The Patriots got caught and they will pay the penalty.
This will not change them handing the Chargers loss #1 on Sunday night I can assure you of that......

Got to be honest, if the Patriots coaching staff is found guilty of this level espionage then I am off the Patriots bandwagon until BB and friends are run out of Foxboro. I will wait til the league has their say but as a lifetime Pats fan I am disgusted.

And if it DOESN'T give them an advantage, why have they been doing it for years? Why pay someone to sit around with a video camera all game long if there is no advantage gained?Neely8 wrote:So if it is so obvious please explain how it gives them an advantage? Also, explain this from PFT...
Simply put, the Pats now reek of scandal. In fact, we're told by a very good source that, when the Packers caught a Pats employee doing the same thing last season, the Packers knew exactly what to look for, and nailed the guy in the act. The Packers didn't press the issue only because they lost the game 35-0, and didn't want to complain under those circumstances.
The Pats' habits in this regard were so well known that, per the same source, Colts president Bill Polian had all on-field cameras removed for the 2006 AFC championship game.

Whats next-mic'ing up the defensive fucking players too to get snap counts, audibles, ect? Oh wait, here this latest excerpt from PFT about 10 minutes ago:
Not since Barroid Bonds has this been so damn appropriate:
The Pats' habits in this regard were so well known that, per the same source, Colts president Bill Polian had all on-field cameras removed for the 2006 AFC championship game.
Thus, the Patriots knew that other people know what was happening. And yet they kept on doing it.
If all of this is true, it reflects a dangerous amount of arrogance in that team's coaching staff. In fact, our guess is that, now that the poo has hit the propeller, whoever put this system in place will privately justify it after the fact by explaining that, in the end, the cost was far less than the benefits that have been derived.
And it makes us -- and likely many others -- wonder how far back all of this goes. How many Lombardis are potentially tainted? How many of the games during that record-setting winning streak?
Regardless of the lost draft picks, which mean much less in the salary cap era than they used to, there's now a stain on the NFL first dynasty of the new century. How far it spreads and how deep it goes remains to be seen.
Whats next-mic'ing up the defensive fucking players too to get snap counts, audibles, ect? Oh wait, here this latest excerpt from PFT about 10 minutes ago:
WERE PATS WIRING DEFENSIVE PLAYERS, TOO?
The situation regarding the New England Patriots and the allegations/proof that they have stolen defensive signals is unofficially getting weirder.
The signal stealing flap is relevant only to defensive signals, since all offensive calls are made by radio.
But we're now aware of suspicions/rumors regarding efforts by the Pats to get a leg up as to opposing offenses. Specifically, we're told that it's believed that, during the 2006 season, the Patriots were putting microphones on defensive linemen in order to capture the offensive line calls and the quarterback audibles.
Then, the audio and the video of the game would be matched up, and the defensive players would be given the code at halftime.
Not since Barroid Bonds has this been so damn appropriate:

Looks like BB & his cohort coaches may not be the only ones feeling the wrath. Could the league be putting Brady up on the cross too? If the league can prove it then I say tear them all down for the sake of the game. Horrible for all NFL fans, not just Patriots fans.

If you're not cheating, you're not trying, and it's ONLY cheating if you get caught.
IF that's what the Patsies were doing all this time I applaud them for pushing the envelope....but now it's time for them to pay the price of doing business.
