Cincinnati coach Brian Kelly puts foot in mouth
Not a good idea. Earlier this week, Kelly questioned if Cincinnati should continue their standing home-and-home arrangement with the Miami Redhawks. There are only four series in the nation older than this one and it means alot to fans around here. His argument was that Cincinnati probably shouldn't be playing road games against non-BCS conference schools. With the Bearcats playing the Redhawks in Oxford this week, I'm sure it was bulletin board material and also just plain stupid. Cincinnati hasn't established themselves enough to be BCS conference snobs. Iowa, Minnesota, and Colorado have been willing to schedule games in Oxford so I can't believe Kelly thinks UC is in a superior position to those programs. Ohio State visited Cincinnati (albeit at Paul Brown Stadium) before the Bearcats came to the Big East. Hell, Oklahoma State is playing at TROY right now. It was a huge mistake by Kelly in my opinion and I'm sure he'll be reminded of it in Oxford tomorrow afternoon.

That's nothing, Oregon is going to fuck Fresno State in the ass AGAIN tomorrow. 3 or 4 coaches left the 'neck for U of O since the Sweeney days and not one damn time have they been able to steal a victory.
Texas A&M is a shit team this year also. 3 OT's to beat a shitty team at your house last week?
WAR Troy State or whatever they call themselves now.

Seriously. I don't disagree with a word of it.
That is pretty classless of the Cinci coach. They are damn lucky to be in a BCS-con, they didn't really earn it. There are probably 10 football programs that deserved that jump more. Now he is acting like a snob when it comes to visiting a long-time rival? Nouveau-riche douchebag.
You gonna bark all day little doggie or are you gonna bite?

Not to mention that Kelly is himself a MAC product, IIRC, so the nouveau-riche douchebag argument applies at both the institutional and the personal level.Danimal wrote:That is pretty classless of the Cinci coach.
