what's the story on that? Mussburger is doing this game and i'm not going to mute Acid Mother's Temple or Faust on the winamp playlist to listen to that nutsack tickling fruit.

Props to Washington on a tough game, coulda easily went to OT.

That is loss #3 for Ty's squad but they are definitely an improving program, especially considering they are starting a true frosh.

I bet Petey couldn't wait to get off the field. That was just a sloppy game. Penalties, injuries, sluggish play. USC escaped Upset Saturday with a victory. Win and move on.

I was watching this game with a big SC fan, and he was definitely nervous with the way everything had played out today. I was ready to leave after Washington didn't convert that last 4th down. I was literally walking toward the door when I heard him scream something along the lines of "Aw motherfucker! They blocked the punt!" Heh heh. Had to stick around for the end after that. I was actually kind of surprised UW didn't get the onside kick. there was just something weird in the air today...

that was the worse officiated game I have ever seen, the refs completely took the spirit out of the game and did everything they could to give Washington a chance. The late hit penalties when the Washington players are still in bounds in the first half were only compounded by the phantom PI calls in the second half. Why do they call a late hit on a USC player for hitting a guy on his knee trying to catch a ball and then the next 2 series, let Washington players do it without a call?
On USC's last offensive series, I almost thought that He That We Dont Speak Of grabbed sarks headset and sent the plays in

As far as throwbacks are concerned, those Washington unis were kind of cool. They showed that team photo from '60 and they looked just like them...down to the font on the numbers. When did they finally adopt purple in the uniforms if they were navy back then?

Credit USC for getting away with the win...can't complain about eeking out a win on a bloodbath Saturday where title hopes came to die.

watched the game again on ReplayTV those calls were still horrible. And on the play when ODowd and Rachal were injured, both were pushed backwards over the pile well after the whistle had blown and the play was over, wheres the late hit calls on those plays? two guys who could have their seasons end on late hits that are not called and instead the refs are calling hits in bounds as late hits, convinced those are the worst refs in the history of football.
I bet those refs were the ones that put all the money down on washington yesterday afternoon that moved the line 2.5 points, had to subsidize their ref checks

i was wondering about the font. looked a lot like what the Denver Broncos currently have. and rack UW for doing the throwback right. When OU did them in 03 or 04 they wore the regular white pants with the double crimson stripe and it didn't really work IMO.
