Michael Bennett traded- PRIEST HOLMES to back up LJ

Post by RevLimiter »

The local blowtorch Sports Radio 810 WHB http://www.810whb.com is reporting that Chiefs back up RB Michael Bennett was traded to the Bucs last night for a conditional draft pick and that Priest Holmes is to be activated to the active roster tomorrow. IF this is true then Priest successfully comes back from ANOTHER major injury....incredible.

oh, that Micheal Bennett...

I thought you might be talking about Micheal "I never met a football I wasn't willing to fumble" Bennett.....the running back that is consistently tackled with nothing more than a casual glance from an opposing player....

Name a recent Wisconsin running back that has had a consistent and long-lasting NFL career? They've actually had better luck with receivers like Lee Evans and Chris Chambers.

Bennett had a couple of really good season in Minnesota but injuries and his inconsist ability to hold onto the football made him expendable. The Vikings have gone through quite a few back recently but I think they finally have one in A.D.

Ron Dayne has hung on but bounces from team to team because he's not able to be "the man". He's a nice goal line/short yardage specialist because of his size and he's still got decent mobility.

P.J. Hill looks a quality prospect but he could end up being a similar player to Dayne. He's able to carry the ball 25 times a game but he's not a marquee back.

We've got Brian Calhoun with the Lions and he's been on IR for both seasons he's been in the league and is limited to special teams and third down situations.

The duo of Brent Moss and Terrell Fletcher from a few years back didn't amount to much. Fletcher had a brief career with the Chargers but never really hung around. Moss was undersized and I think he didn't last more than a year or two in the league.

Anthony Davis was another back similar to Moss...undersized but very quick. I don't think he was in the league very long either.
