What would you know about the second largest State in the Union and the amazing geography that it encompasses?Dinsdale wrote:warren wrote:all I know is you're all welcome in Texas
You might wanna put your current sympathies for their plight aside for just a moment, and think a little more about what you just said.

Not a bad idea, but think of the greenhouse potential that would add.warren wrote: Just feed Jess the Rookie some pinto's and have him bend over and put a reversal on those Santa Anna's.
It'll be his best roll to date, other than "Old School."

" Seven Oaks Ignored During Evacuation! When the fires were moving through Rancho Bernardo early Monday morning, we watched TV and checked the web frequently to see if we were to evacuate. We live in the far north end of Seven Oaks - just south of Rancho Bernardo Road. We were surrounded by thick black smoke so we couldn't see where the fire might be. Both of us are in wheelchairs, so we wanted plenty of advance notice. First they evacuated "northeast RB" - the section north of Rancho Bernardo Road. Then they evacuated most of the north part of the city. The mayor announced that the area was bounded by I-5 on the west, 56 on the south and I-15 on the east. That did not include Seven Oaks. So we stayed put. Visibility got worse and worse, big ashes falling from the sky. Then police cruisers started driving up and down our street announcing that we should evacuate immediately. We did. There has never been an official announcement that our portion of RB should evacuate. As a result, there may never be an official announcement to let us return. Does anyone know what's going on? "

It was just a veiled joke about the Katrina's.

But I won't get started on the SCAM that is fighting wildfires in unpopulated areas (which obviously doesn't apply to the southwestern corner of california). IT'S FREAKING SCRUBGRASS AND SAGEBRUSH!!!! Guess what -- if you let it burn, it grows back the next time it rains. If you don't let it burn and try and control it -- it grows back the next time it rains. Yeah, that desert ecology is some complicated stuff.
I hear ya' man, and sure they can come here, I'm never around and when I am I'm surrounded by barbed wire and 100+ acres as well as heavily armed as most Texans are ,so I've no worries.Dinsdale wrote:warren wrote:What would you know about the second largest State in the Union and the amazing geography that it encompasses?Dinsdale wrote:

Oh, I see we're explaining "veiled jokes."
OK, I'll play.
Let's review -- you made a joke about displaced Calis being welcome in Texas. Let's put aside for a moment that I absolutely got the joke you were making...
For your edification (usually a futile effort on a Texan), my response was also a "veiled joke"... see Warren, every time there's some sort of significant natural disaster in Southern California, the population of the area in which I live undergoes an increase of at least 50,000, often more...
And you won't find a more miserable, whiney bunch of migrants anywhere.
And we've been dealing with it for decades.
So, allow me to reiterate my comments. How's about...
Hey Warren -- BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR!
And to all the displaced californians... Hey, did you guys hear Warren? He says you should head east, not north. He's obviously a very, very wise man. You should listen to him.
North = BAD
East = GOOD
No kidding, if you could iradicate all the militant same sexers, the tree hugging irrationals, and the outrageous taxes I'd give anything to live the most beautiful State in the Nation.Mikey wrote:ftfyDinsdale wrote:

He was shitcanned from his afternoon gig a couple of years ago. When I left CA, he was relegated to a Saturday show and doing "the best 20 minutes in sports" as an intro to a show with two other dudes. Pretty much he went from being the franchise in San Diego to being the station bitch in LA. Nothing like being demoted to Saturday scrub time a couple of decades into your career...BSmack wrote:Is Hacksaw still doing his afternoon shows? I would love to hear his fire reports.
Rancho Bernardo! Are you there! I want to hear from Chula Vista! Show me your evacuation orders!
If we're talking about the same Hacksaw, I believe he is doing some spot work for the "Loose Cannons" on KLAC 570. The guy thinks he knows all but is a total dipshit every time he opens his mouth.OCmike wrote:He was shitcanned from his afternoon gig a couple of years ago.
