Since Goobs is already running "KC is scared shitless" smack in an unrelated thread, I figured I'd best get a topic started to properly address this game. I know Green Bay fan is feeling froggy after barely getting bye an inept Mule team at Piled High in OT, but you're not playing in Dungver this week.

Less fear for an offense that has zero running game and a statue for a QB. Jared Allen is licking his chops at the prospect of adding Farve to his growing resume of sacks and forced fumbles. Farve gets picked at least twice and KC drop kicks yet another wannabe NFC team right the hell out of ARROWHEAD.

If anything, Pukerfan should be pissing down their leg at prospect of the horrific beatdown they're about to endure.

Excuse me, Mr. KC mensa, but it was you who first mentioned KC vs GB in that thread.

The only thing that bothers me about this game is that the Packers have the short week while KC is coming off of their bye week. That should make for a close game. Green Bay found a new running back last week in Ryan Grant, and Favre is plenty nimble for a 38-year-old. Also, he adds yet another decent wideout to his arsenal, assuming that Koren Robinson is sober.

1. Kansas City has had a bye week to prepare and get healthy.
2. Green Bay is working on a short week with back-to-back road games.
3. Arrowhead is traditionally a difficult place for road teams to win.

For the most part, Kansas City's front seven should be able to get to Favre for two or three sacks, provide consistent pressure throughout the game and kill Green Bay drives before scoring opportunities arise. I don't think we'll be able to force Favre into a poor outing, by any means, but I think Kansas City's defense is good enough to create third-and-long situations.

I could see this happening without any of the factors listed above, but I especially like our chances in this case.

Kansas City's offense, on the other hand, will benefit greatly from those same factors and should be able to move the ball consistently on the Packers defense.

The Chiefs don't need Favre to play miserably to win this weekend, but they absolutely need to minimize costly mistakes on offense. If they can avoid the momentum-killing interception that has plagued this team in recent weeks, good things should happen.

The Quiefs are 4-3 in The AFC Worst.....sorry, but the only thing running down anyone's leg is Grief's fans better judgement. Give-Me-Head stadium is not going to scare the Packers and Favre. It will be close, but look 4 you know who to rip your hearts out!

Normally, if I was in a betting mood, that would be fairly solid. A coming-off-bye home team covering a small spread against a short-weeker. Historically/statistically, that's usually money.

But when you get a team on a roll, it gets sketchy. Rather than betting on the home fave(which would normally be pretty slam-dunk), the best bet on a game like this is no bet.

I'm looking for Dwayne Bowe to have about 80 yards receiving and a td.
I'm also hoping to see Farve throw for 300 and a few tds.

I'm not sure a short week means much to the Packers offense but could pose trouble for their defense. I think this amounts to a high scoring game.

6 sacks, 2 INT's, and at least one forced fumble in a crazed Arrowhead are what Cheeseheads have to look forward to this Sunday.

I don't think the Quiefs have a Dre Bly or Champ Baily type corner and we saw how Favre used them like rented Donkeys. The running game is getting better each week so I look for it to have a positive impact on the game. Griefs fan is good @ spewing out wirthless stats, but bottom line is a W.

Good point. Surtain and Law are hardly in their prime, but they don't need to be to cover a go route. Farve won't have time for that to develop, as he'll be too busy scrambling for his life.

As well, in the Cover II scheme, Page and Pollard provide plenty of support. I'll allow that GB is likely to score on one deep ball, but that won't be enough. For most of the day, they'll be trying to hit the dink and dunk stuff underneath and on the edges of the coverage.

The game sets up poorly for Green Bay.

I see the Packers turning the ball over 2 or 3 times, giving the Chief offense a little jolt.

That doesn't mean much if anything at all. Dungver has the worst run defense in the league and John Lynch was out for most of the game.

Except that the trend appears to be pretty consistant through the season.

If you want to play this one on paper, the two team's defenses, based on yards given up, are quite similar, both passing and rushing. Their respective offenses totals aren't terribly similar, though. That stat would be well in favor of GB.

But I'd just as soon they played it out on the field, rather than on paper.

This is going to be a tough game for the Packers this Sunday. I never thought the Packers would be 6-1 at this point, so I really don't know what to expect out of them right now. Favre has never beaten the Chiefs, but he was damn near flawless on Monday.

Ryan Grant looked good on Monday, but that was really his first extensive playing time ever against a really bad run D. I think he is going to be the wild card in the game. If he can somehow get between 80-100 yards the Packers will win the game. If he only gets a yard a carry early in the game McCarthy is going to scrap the run and let Favre try to take control. If that happens, I don't think the Packers win.

I'm curious to see how the Chiefs are going to play the pass. For the past three weeks teams have taken away the quick slant and it has forced Favre to go deep more often. If worked against the Donks, not so much against the Skins though. If those quick slants are there Favre has to take less chances down the field, which is a good thing.

This game is going to be a great test for the young Packers. If they can win back-to-back weeks in Denver and Kansas City, they might just be a legit contender in the NFC.

The Donks run D does blow, so can't judge much on that performance
Chiefs have done pretty well stopping the run, so I'd say it's up to Farve.

Of course The Chiefs also need to score, which hasn't happened nearly enough.
If it turns into a shootout (Ha!) we're in trouble.
