Rack Navy
media, especially ESPN tried to sell Navy as a good team, a fucking farce. But rack them for sticking it up Notre Dames ass, especially after the bullshit PI call on the first 2pt try.
this is a team that got beat up by Delaware folks.
Muwahahaha Notre Dame and Nebraska getting bent over weekly, does it get any better than this!

yes. if michigan wasn't predictably coming from behind in the fourth quarter to beat michigan state, it would get better.Adelpiero wrote:Muwahahaha Notre Dame and Nebraska getting bent over weekly, does it get any better than this!
rack navy.
I have to ask ND fan.....I don't care how badly WIllingham recruited, you should NOT be losing to Navy. Weis has some serious answering to do. One has to question whether this man has it? It being the ability to be a head coach on any level. Not one ND fan can tell you expected this.....this is putrid.....this is embarassing on a historical level.
Bottom line, you can't be this bad....ND can't be this bad.....

wow. just fukking wow.
you get beat by a school that has a team of, well, a team of walkons as the military academies don't offer athletic scholarships. When it comes right down to it, the academies aren't even a div 1 team, talent wise. They do have a bunch of hard working motivated kids that enable them to play close to a div 1 level, but, the disparity in talent levels is pretty big.
as i said just a few minutes ago, you fukkers better get into the big E in football....while they'll still have you

there's the service academy angle but Air Force has been pretty good here and there over the last 3-0 years and beat some good teams.
i admit i haven't followed it too closely, but i don't why ND sucks so badly. i don't think Weis just got stupid all of a sudden. they'll get better i'd guess. but this year is an serrano pepper ass scorcher for domer fan.

Recruiting at ND: prestige, glory, adoration, top level education, great facilities, surrounded by players of a similarly high level, chance to work with great coaches (at least in the past), nationally televised games, possibility to go pro
Recruiting at Army, Navy, AF: prestige, honor, so-so student body, top level education, fair facilities, surrounded by other highly motivated mediocre players, military training (in addition to schoolwork and practice), 1 or 2 nationally televised games, 5 year military commitment after college
Gotta love those odds resulting in a win for Navy.

no, there is not. they are all on full scholarships. actually, they get paid! but, my point is, those kids aren't there just because they can play football. Was it a factor in their getting accepted at an academy? Sure, but, these kids could quit football tomorrow and they wouldn't loose their scholarship. That is not the case for sport scholarship athletes.Screw_Michigan wrote:they may not have "athletic scholarships" but there is no tuition at the military academies.smackaholic wrote:team of walkons as the military academies don't offer athletic scholarships.

Let's hear it for Paul Johnson. It's been a down year for Navy compared to the last 5-6 seasons. it doesn't really get much lower than giving up 59 points at home to a I-AA team like Delaware and they could have easily taken this road game and mailed it in against arguably the worst team on their schedule, but they sacked up and got it done.
Yeah, that whole "streak" deal is pretty meaningless, coach.CW wrote:"They're worried about here and now. These kids are 17. You think they're worrying about 43 years?"

If he has said "arguably the worst team on their schedule so far", he'd have had a valid point.Terry in Crapchester wrote:Navy's scheduleDegenerate wrote:Let's hear it for Paul Johnson. I guess the domer mystique has rubbed off further than I thought. 20 years ago, the domers could have suited up the brass section of the marching band and still start the season off ranked #4.
Maybe they should just step down to 1-AA. They might crack the top 25 there. Might.
