I'm not listening to those douchebags but Kornholer needs to have his face shoved face down into that thing they call a football field until only his lifeless corpse remain.

That field is an absolute disgrace. This thing might end 0-0 after OT.

Imagine dishing out the geld for a whole new sod to get rolled out...and having it ruined 5 minutes into the first game you play on it.

BRIGHT IDEA by the Steelers to re-sod that sumbitch 48 HOURS before the game AND right before a veritable monsoon to boot. That game just set back football 25 years....fucking UNWATCHABLE, to say the least.

Even better, there's a game in 6 days. And since they've laid the new sod directly over the old, I'm thinking laying down a 3rd layer of sod would present some impossible to overcome drainage issues. The grass experiment needs to end.

The North Shore was built on "reclaimed" land. They're basically on a sandbar, and that will never change.

The only real solution, as you say, is a synthetic field. I think they must be closer to that after dropping in tons of sod and seeing it ruined in less than a quarter of football.

Honestly, no one could have predicted that torrential downfall. That was the worst case scenario for the sod solution...and it played out in front of the whole MNF audience.

Did everyone see the punt land and stick right in the ground? BWAAAHAHAHAHA!

Houston's field was a disaster the first three years, but now they rotate two fields during the season, but the problem that still remains is that the field inside the stadium never gets enough sunlight. I think they take the other sod and place it in a field so it can get some sunlight. I would like it if Houston ultimately went with a field turf, but McNair wants to stay Old Skool.

That game warmed my heart. It was like old-fashioned U&L football, which has been sad to watch go by the wayside.

Which brought on the death of U&L Ball. Not only is Autzen, Reser, and Husky Stadiums artificial, but most high schools are too these days. I realize it's a great deal more cost effective, but it's sad to see it go. Back in high school, if it was a late-season game in the rain, you couldn't tell which team was which by the end of the game -- it was the Brown Team vs. the Brown Team.

Good times.

Sidenote -- If the forecast holds, and it's dry saturday, then to the best of my memory, Oregon won't have played one game in the rain this season.
