Best Mexican "fast" food..........Taco Cabana. They're only in TX, OK, and NM but everything is made fresh right there. My friends from San Antonio say the best Mex in Dallas is TC. Whenever I fly to Dallas to work, first stop is the Taco Cabana in Irving for breakfast. Only complaint is some locations tortillas are too small.

i like Taco Cabana pretty good. we had one in Boulder for a couple months but no one went there except the CU football players from Texas near as i could tell. i go to the one in Norman when i visit my mom and used to be good for a late night drunked-up plate of barbacoa--but never EVER in the same league as the buffet at Norman's venerable Kettle (RIP) on Lindsey. this buffet STARTED at midnight.

but, mexican food in Boulder is pretty dire to begin with. saccharine lousy marg joints for the most part. NW Denver, now that's a different story.

the Santiago's franchises (around 15-20 or them) around Denver are pretty good if you just want to get something smothered with incendiary chili verde. that's the whole point of going there, they certainly aren't trying to trick you with anything else.

What's that place in Boulder where you build your own burrito, sort of like Chipotle? Was it Illegal Pete's or something? I went there a couple of times and it seemed pretty deece for cheap fast Mexi fare. Always crowded too.

yup, Illegal Pete's. i'd say there was a time it was better than Chipotle, more left of center as it were.....top tier snowboard dudes and their hottie groupie chicks working there in tank top belly shirts (working those tortilla steamers, yeah!) listening to Bad Brains or Woody Guthrie....but now it's mostly just the same as Chipotle.

though i'd put both above Qdoba.

Finally made it do the new local Cheesecake Factory a while back. 90 minute wait times for average food with all the ambiance of a stockyard.

Cheesecake Factory---Try the Chicken and Dumplings.......YUMM!!!

Best fast food is In & Out Burger. Whenever I am out west I make it a point to hit one. Expansion to the East would be nice, but might downgrade the quality. Carl's Jr was pretty kick ass from what I tried too...

Coldstone Creamery---Damn fine ice cream. The Birthday Cake Remix is incredible....

We really don't have to many Italian or Seafood chains around here. Then again with Federal Hill and Boston's North End a short drive away why would they open a Macaroni Grill. Red Lobster opened here for all of about 6 months. Needless to say New Englanders shut that place down pretty quick.

TEXAS RESIDENTS----Whats the buzz on Rudy's BBQ there? Went to the one in Round Rock and LOVED IT! Probably crap but to an east coaster it was GREAT!!

We need better mexican places up here. Qdoba just opened down the street and that was decent. There is a Baja Fresh which I had and it was good. Just a 45 minute drive though.

There's actually another alternative...

You could always not eat any of it.

I go hungry before I do any of the cheapass fast food. Much healthier alternative. But I guess fat fucks are guided by their stomach, not any sort of concern for their health.

Thats just it. You don't know. Yet you used it in a response to me. I don't know you from a hole in the wall. Would I call you fat, ugly or anything else without knowing of which I speak. Now I did call you a know it all conceited asshole. Judging by what I have seen on these boards I would say that is about spot on.
