horse collar
horse collar
I always chuckle when I hear the term.
Chuckle a little more when I see it occur on the ol' gridiron.
No horse collar.
No leaping off the top rope.
No foreign objects.
No touching QB's.
Is tackling still permitted?
I'd pay a buck to see Paul horse collared on the way to the Sizzler Dessert Bar.

Roy needs to stop. I think he might be acting out of instinct on those tackles more than anything else. He is going to get a rep for being a dirty player if he keeps it up...
As to the helmet to helmet... Hamlin was leading with his shoulder on that hit and the reciever bent down and brought his head towards Hamlin's as he turned. That was unintentional for the head to head but Hamlin was bringing some hurt with that hit.

Save me some of that corn for laters...

Going to GET a rep? He might as well go down to Miami Ink and get "Dirty Player" tattooed on his ass.Nacho wrote:Roy needs to stop. I think he might be acting out of instinct on those tackles more than anything else. He is going to get a rep for being a dirty player if he keeps it up...

I said it before and I'll say it again, Roy Williams is the most overrated Safety in football. If he's not tackling a guy head-on he's getting burned which results in his horse collar tackles not to mention his extremely shitty pass coverage ability.Nacho wrote:Roy needs to stop. As for the hit on Schobel, he had just landed when Hamlin hit him. Hamlin led with his shoulder but ultimately used his head for the hit. Maybe it wasn't an intentionally dirty hit but it was in very bad form and he'll get a hefty fine for it. The Cowboys are lucky he won't be suspended.
If you were built like this guy and playing safety in the NFL you'd prolly need to find some way to compensate too.jiminphilly wrote:

Re: horse collar
In which case the correct terminology would be "hog collared".poptart wrote: I'd pay a buck to see Paul horse collared on the way to the Sizzler Dessert Bar.
