And nice call by the Big 10 refs for "celebration."
Having lived in Lawrence for 10 years, plus as a Big XII fan, I'd love to see KU win this game.
Earlier today, I was yakkin with a KU grad and a neutral observer at work about tonight's game. The KU grad was very nervous and the neutral observer says to me, "I just hope KU doesn't get 'OU'd' in a major bowl game."
:x

Initially, out of college, I lived downstairs from a slum lord, then in an apartment out on West Sixth Street, then in the 1300 block of N.J. (cool place)
The last place I lived was awesome. A renovated house, built in 1910, upstairs, located behind Trinity Lutheran Church ... less than a block away from South Park (yes, that's the name of it, tards).
I had a new, large wooden deck on that place, upstairs. My cats absolutely loved it, because it was being amid the big trees. Good stuff.

I loved walking by the homes on the streets near South Park, especially the ones on Kentucky and Tennessee. I lived on Vermont Ave. for my last two years there - '99-''01.
I never expected this kind of pass rush...the Hawks haven't had it all year long. VT wised up on their last drive, though.
I remember when the Orange Bowl halftime was the shit. Light shows and everything. I wonder when that all changed.
KU is melting down BADLY....went from 1st and goal at the one to tossing a INT 3 plays later (after ANOTHER holding penalty). Mangino better settle Reesing down, and SOON.

Very nice win for KU, should give them a hell of a final-ranking and some nice momentum going into the recruiting home-stretch. Up to this point KU hasn't been able to capitalize on their new-found notoriety but this could get them over the top with the kids.
Props to Mangino.

stuckinia, if you're out there, rack VT. I love any team with a front seven that has speed and brings the lumber. I watched at least five Hokie games this year (wife is a huge VT fan - go figger) and I never could figure that team out. Built for the power running game this year, but they never made it pop when they really needed it. Glennon was beat up physcially and emotionally, ever since last year's bowl game against Georgia, but dude hung in there despite his limitations.
I felt a lot better about this game this week when I saw the betting line. The public was hammering VT for weeks and the line never budged from -3.5. Smart money stayed on KU all along, despite the what's-your-schedule dick-measuring tards of the college football world who couldn't wait to throw cash at the team they recognize. God bless CF fans. The dumbest betting public there is.

See you on the hardwood.
Loved the point spread and its lack of movement.....gave me confidence heading into the game. Nice call, degen!
Fun year to be a Jayhawk football fan and we don't get to say that often. Looks like next year may be alright as well with quite a bit of talent returning.
As for the hardwood; well, the Jayhawks are freaking loaded! Hoping for a big run this year.
It would have taken you less time to type “hokie” into Google that it did to type your question. Plus, you could have avoided looking like a retard. Again.
I’m just here to help.

Yeah, and it would have taken you less time to answer my simple question than type that response and be a dickhead. Again. So what's your excuse?

This is similar to where I'm coming from in regards to Rutgers and Temple. Last year was outstanding for Rutgers, and any season where Temple wins a couple of games is a tremendous accomplishment.

I need to go ahead and rack Kansas here. Count me as a non-believer before the game. KU proved they belonged. Rack that fat bastard coach too. Great season Jayhawks.

I’m just trying to teach you to not be so fucking lazy. Get off your ass and fend for yourself. Show a little initiative. Before you know it, you’ll have a new fence, central air, and cinderella_under_your_covers.

when they announced the BCS matchups, georgia and KU had easiest games.
with Virginia tech, all you had to do is score in 20's to win. they are horrible offensively, Virginia tech offensive gameplan is horrible. their quarterbacks are horrible. their WR couldnt catch to save a life.
in al lreality, all KU,MU,WVU, etc did, was win meaningless games. they won $$$$ for conference and program. There is no prestige in the bowls any more.
Winning new years day bowls were celebrated and held with prestige, it showed you were there, now its a joke, and an abortion of the once proud new years day bowls!
Didnt see them scoring that much on VT. Those 17 points off turnovers were huge. VTs QB had 3 ints all season coming into that game and had 2 versus KU.
I doubt anyone said before the game that KU would outplay VT on both special teams and defense.
ACC had another fine year in the BCS...haha.

offensively, KU was way better
special teams i would say equal. because KU had best returner in game this year.(maclin was damn good also)
defense virginia tech by a lot. but was it Virginia techs scheme? their coaching, or ku defense?
IMO Va Tech should've been more patient and looked to grind-it-out more with the run-game. The picks were killers. Part of Beamerball is a physical O that doesn't turn the rock over.
Overall I was impressed with KU's O, considering the competition they moved the rock pretty well.
