Well, it should be tough for KU to make free throws at Mizzou.
As for Mizzou making 50% and in half as many attempts... how in fuck do you get outscored by 17 from the charity stripe in your own fucking building? Demarre Carrol goes 1-6 and somehow manages to lower his stellar 39% FT shooting average.
Let's just say that I'm unimpressed with Coach Anderson's work on fundamentals. This team sucks horsecocks. Just a bunch of undisciplined individuals who have no concept whatsoever of how to play as a team. I mean, they do have some talent...
This is just embarassing.

I've said it before - Anderson is a below-average coach who owes his job to sandbagging Kentucky on the right day a few years ago. When he took UAB to the Sweet 16 a few days later, KU ran a layup line against them.
No defense, no fundamentals, shit coach. Those 40-minutes of Hell days are long, long gone. Good luck keeping anyone suited to play it in school for more than a year. I hope Mizzou keeps him forever.
It was close only because that's par for the course when KU travels to Columbia.

i used to think CU fan was the most never happy, complain about everything, crotchety fan ever in the conference.
it's Mizzou fan. a little success makes Mizzou fan even more tedious.
sweet article about Quin on yahoo's home page this week, FYI Anderson haters.

Have you watched them play? I've never seen such sloppy play from a Mizzou squad, even in their darkest hours with Quin at the helm.King Crimson wrote:i used to think CU fan was the most never happy, complain about everything, crotchety fan ever in the conference.

Re: toughest FT line in the nation: Mizzou Arena?
they dont have the players
he had to bring in quick fixes, and they arent all that! he had a 5 year retooling process.
all of quins kids were shit, lawrence, give me a fucking break!
lets add he had 1 scholly for 2 years.
2 more years of his kids and they will be fine. If not, he will be fired by then!
to say this team is worse than Quins, shows your stupidity. they used to get blown out at home to Depaul and creighton. have 4 guys stand at 3pt line and a 6'6 forward try to outrebound 4 guys. worse offensive and defensive scheme ever.
his coaching was perfect for cba.

Anderson has yet to have 5 kids on the floor that fit his scheme. another year or 2 and he will.
if you cant see progress, you your a bigger idiot than i thought you were.
you cant recruit when you have 1 scholarship in 2 seasons.

I completely disagree. Quin had one team, and that was mainly Arthur's work in the middle keeping pressure off others. All other Quin teams had horrible field goal percentages, never rebounded and gave everything within 15 feet of the basket to the other team. Quin's offense would last for 5 seconds of every possession and then turn into streetballin'. 40 minutes of hell was watching Quin get beat by shitty DII teams. 10 minutes of pure torture was a Quin team giving up at the end of a game.War Wagon wrote: Have you watched them play? As for Anderson's scheme, don't think it'll ever surface. These days the 40 minutes of hell amounts to a quick pass up the wing to a forward who stops and waits for the rest of the team to catch up. Four seconds of speed and then its back to the half court game. I guess that can help wear down the less physical opposition who gets down the court quicker, but as an offensive scheme it ain't working.

Well, they did somehow manage to beat the Buffs yesterday, which is nice. I had given up on them and turned the TV off in utter disgust. Didn't find out until this morning when I cracked open the paper. RACK Leo Lyons, I guess.
Man, it's tough being a Mizzou hoops fan these days. I want Coach Anderson to succeed, but this playground ball won't get it done. 40 minutes of hell? Shit, I haven't seen that weak-ass full court press result in anything other than easy lay-ups going the other way.
Meanwhile, over in Manhattan, rent a player Beasley is making that squad front page news in my sports section. They might even have a decent chance of not being KU's bitches at the Phog west for the first time in 25 years come Wednesday.
