And I heard 50 is the new 40. Nevertheless, I'm approaching old fart status as I received an invitation in the mail from AARP.
I went through the day bracing myself for the panic attack that never occurred. Folks say "you're as young as you feel." Ya know something; I'm feeling damn good.

...and your prostate healthy.
My secret to long life and a healthy prostate?
Sorry I can't tell you, 'cause I'm gong to publish a book on this subject in about 30 years.

True. I was 42 when I first logged into Jim Rome's Smackchat and that was eight years ago and a few boards later.

Happy Birthday, B42.
50 is good. It’s old for some people, but hell…35 is old for some people.
Some folks just sit down at whatever point and decide their time is done. I have seen folks that do that early in life. Then there is my dad, who is 82 and he still hasn't sat down for anything at any point in his life and is still going at it, training horses and doing his thing. Plus, he still thinks my mom is hot at 73. Actually she is, so he still gets it at 82!
My husband and I are both right at 50 and I’m having fun working constantly and playing tennis and raising our kid, but thought that wouldn’t really be 'meaningful' :) input on a guy's 50th birthday…so I asked my husband, what would you say to a guy who just turned 50?
And his answer was, “Ginger or Mary Ann? He's old enough to know.”
