See, this explains why Alabama schedules close to home. Too hard to get the players’ handguns through airport security.

So Saban is following the Mack Brown road to success?

I really don't see the problem here.
Sin,

So, somehow that bastion of honesty and integrity that is Saban got a bad apple?
Man, it must have been a complete fluke or something.
I suppose proverbs like "you reap what you sow" are lost on inbreds.

Nah, Bobby would just get him a job at a car dealership and claim ignorance when they get busted for not working and collecting a check or "test driving" a Lexus for 6 months while he is waiting to decide if he can afford it or not.SunCoastSooner wrote:So Saban is following the Mack Brown road to success?

Ya know the fact that your retort to the implied 26 arrests on the tejas football team in the last 30 months to two rogue players who were kicked off the team immediatly speaks volumes...Harvdog wrote:Nah, Bobby would just get him a job at a car dealership and claim ignorance when they get busted for not working and collecting a check or "test driving" a Lexus for 6 months while he is waiting to decide if he can afford it or not.SunCoastSooner wrote:So Saban is following the Mack Brown road to success?

Nice to see a thread on thugs that wasn't about the Canes. I think our image is finally changing, at least a little. That being said, every school has their bad apples but I'd really like to see the U stay off the front page for a while.

A real-life Cane fan? Welcome.

Thanks for the welcome and yes, I'm a real Canes fan. I guess that means there aren't any other Miami fans on here but that should change soon. So many of us were recently paroled that the our numbers should definitely increase. Seems there are some FSU fans here but I don't see any Gators. Thats not a bad thing, just a little surprising.

I don't think you realize what an accurate statement that was.
But if Florida gets a top 5 preseason ranking, rest assured that will change.

Another Tide arrest.
This one's a starter so it'll be interesting to see how he's disciplined.
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) -- Alabama safety Rashad Johnson was arrested early Saturday morning after allegedly knocking a security guard down at an off-campus bar, Tuscaloosa police said.
Johnson was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct after his arrest at 2:55 a.m. at the Legacy bar on the strip near Alabama's campus, police spokesman Robert Fourt said in a statement Saturday. Johnson, 22, was released on $500 bond shortly after being booked.
Officers had spotted a disturbance outside the bar, which was closing, Fourt said. Legacy security personnel were escorting someone from the bar when Johnson allegedly attempted to intervene and pushed one of the security officers, who fell out the door and onto the ground.
Johnson, a first-team All-Southeastern Conference pick, was arrested after a brief struggle, Fourt said. Additional officers from city and university police responded after a large crowd gathered during the incident.
A Tuscaloosa officer received a minor abrasion to his knee during the arrest, but did not require medical attention.
Johnson, a former walk-on, led the Crimson Tide with 94 tackles and six interceptions as a junior. He finished in a three-way tie for the SEC lead in interceptions.
It was the second arrest involving a Tide player in the past week. Defensive lineman Jeremy Elder was charged with two counts of first-degree robbery last Sunday night.
Nobody else was arrested in the incident involving Johnson, who was selected a captain by his teammates after the season. The arrest was first reported by the Press-Register of Mobile.

IndyFrisco,
Yes, I'll look forward to the rematch. Hopefully we'll be able to go in there and sneak out with a win.
SunCoastSooner,
I'll definitely look forward to seeing you guys again and I sure as hell hope it goes better than it did this past season.
Sudden Sam,
Nope, I remember that game all too well. I won't be forgetting that one any time soon.
I appreciate all the welcomes. I'm just looking forward to seeing if this recruiting class can help get us back to where we once were. I know all about the guys from here in the Miami area so I think the future looks pretty bright.

Yeah, basically :) We signed 8 kids from Northwestern. I know we keep tons of Miami kids right here to play for the U but getting 8 kids from one HS team has to be a first.
Re: Another Thug Arrested...Roll Tide
I call bullshit. Florida State and Miami have no talent. Just ask ESPN.
Welcome Canefan, looking fwd to Oct. 4th.

Same here, Chief. I'm sure it will be a battle as always. I just hope it ends up meaning something outside of the state of Florida. This game should always be relevant nationally.
