Wait, do I understand this right? You've only got to beat 5 other players and then you'll have a seat at the WSP?

That is correct. It's a league where only the top 5% of the league gets into the WSOP showdown and this year we only had 122 people qualify with the minimum # of tournies which left us with 6 in the final this year.

Weirdest thing was that it wasn't any slower than in years past but just not as many "regular" players.

There is only one guy I am even remotly concerned about in the game.

I'll be going regardless. I am alreay in events 13 & 21. This is for the main event though. If I do well in either of the other events I'll buy my way into the main event on my own.
