Never heard of the Meatmen? War of the Superbikes, baby.

In the overall scheme of life, that is probably not such a bad thing.

the stooges 'funhouse' is my vote. it was counter-counter-culture in that in 1970, or 1969 (OK, all across the USA), the 60's are over and the hippie eventual arena rock crap....when Iggy says either (take your pick): she's got her TV Eye on me or "I feel allright" or the meltdown that is LA Blues. it's all over then. and it's "hardcore" punk proto. Christ, the Beatles will still together when the first Stooges record came out. Fuck the baby boomers and their "claim" to "counter culture".

the other choice is maybe the 17 minutes that are VU's Sister Ray. not an LP, obviously. hey, all 17 minutes?

shoutout to Double Nickles.

Gets it!

Obviously my vote leans much more toward the 'hardcore' genre, but this is the type of discourse I was looking to see.
